Moving our Mom into a Senior Living facility was one of the most difficult decisions we have ever made as a family. When we first visited, that facility was under different management; it is now managed by Peregrine. The staff are so deeply engaged in making a HOME for all the residents. They care deeply, pay attention and are incredibly communicative with our family. The apartments are lovely, the meals wonderful and the endless activities! Trips and concerts and movies and happy hours etc. I could not possibly recommend Peregrine Crossgates more.

On November 13th my mom was able to celebrate her 90th birthday. Mom has been living at the Atria senior assisted living facility near the Crossgates mall for almost one and one half years. Our first thought was for my wife and I to gather a few of her long time friends and have a nice little party at a local restaurant. But that would have left out many of the new friends she had made during her stay at her new home. So I inquired with Kristyn Ganim, Executive Director of Atria Crossgates, as to whether it would be possible to have a gathering at their facility. After painlessly working out the details, including food to be served, time of day, attendees, room used for the event, and price of dinners (which was QUITE reasonable), all was agreed on, far in advance of the date. On mom's special day, we arrived early, met with Ms. Ganim, Kevin the chef, and the fast and efficient wait-staff, and decorated the room as people started to arrive. Mom was simply overjoyed. Guests were very impressed. Everything went smoothly, right according to plan. It was a total success! Yet just one more reason why we are glad we picked Atria Crossgates for mom's senior living facility! Thank you so much to everyone for your efforts! Mom says: "nobody has ever made such a wonderful birthday party for me before." Wolfgang and Francine Kurth
I can’t say enough about the staff at the Peregrine Crossgates. They go above and beyond. Every interaction with them has been so pleasant. They are available when you call or email, they address everything immediately and most importantly they care so much about their residents. Tiffany, Tonya and Jen make a great team. The rest of the staff is great also. My Aunt’s quality of life has improved so much since she arrived. If you need a place for your loved one this is it!
I must share with everyone that in looking for assisted living for your loved ones consider Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgates as your final choice. I say this for many reasons. I moved my Mom and her husband there 9 months ago when it was still considered "Atria". It was a huge adjustment for them after having lived independently for so long. I won't lie the transition from Atria to Peregrine was painful at times, but since this has finally taken place and all Peregrine employees are now there, the facility is amazing. The entire staff truly cares about the members of this community. The attention to detail is so far and above, I am thrilled. My Moms husband is approaching the end of his life and everyone there has proven to be a source of strength for my mother. For this I will be forever grateful.
There are many assisted living opportunities in the capital district area, but I can say that Peregrine Crossgate is one of the best. My Dad who is over 80 and an amputee lives here and is thriving. The staff really care and they work with residents and families to meet everyone's needs. The chef, Kevin, is amazing! He's been there for a long time and he really cares and understands the residents. My Dad loves the food and it was a big factor in his decision to move here. The executive staff are always available to work on any issues that may arise. Tiffany, the new director, always goes the extra mile to not only do the right thing, but to keep the families and residents informed. Tonya, the finance director also plays an active role with families and residents. It's great to see such friendly, energized and upbeat people in charge. The rooms are cleaned often and you can feel the clean. They are extensively remodeling the place. Soon, all will be newly updated in the common areas. They are working to get the bus fixed so that trips can resume. Hopefully soon. If you are looking for a good place for your loved one, this one is highly recommended.
