I believe this is a great place and they have a wonderful director. That being said the experience my family had moving my mother here was horrible. The gentleman in charge of marketing and leasing is horrible and does not know his job. All the information he gave us was incorrect and had not even completed the entire process yet we were told everything was approved and we could move in. The poor director had to come in and move her to a different unit after we already moved her in. His boss failed to check any of his work and as a new employee I do not understand why. The resident service manager refuses to call people back so the poor director is always having to fix everything. Just found out today my mother can't even get mail there due to the building being registered as a business and not as an apartment. The post office won't accept another address to use because the require proof of where you live. How are people given an address and an apartment number but can't receive mail? I thought I had checked this place out enough but I guess not. This has been the worst experience ever. It has been very stressful and almost everyday there is some new thing coming up that they failed to tell us. Not good for elder people who already need care. It creates a worries for them that is so unnecessary. Im grateful for this place because my mother needs care that I can no longer physically give, but the mental stress from this place has caused my sever anxiety, and it seems to be non stop. I hope they get it together soon for others sake.

About twenty years ago my grandmother lived at People's for many years. Now we are hoping that my mom and dad will live there. The facility is really nice and Aryk has been very helpful. We are at the beginning of the process and very hopeful.
My loved one has lived at Peoples for almost 10 years now and I would recommend it. My loved one has special needs and is treated by the staff like a treasured sister, daughter, or friend. They administer all her medication properly, tend to all of her healthcare needs and yes the food is good and the place is always clean. The rooms are nice and kept tidy by the staff. There are various activities for the residents each day if they choose to participate. Most importantly I want you to know that myself and my loved one who lives there are consistently treated with kindness and respect. Every single time I am greeted warmly by the nurses and staff, they take the time to answer all my questions as to my loved ones health and happiness, and I am forever pleased and grateful for the care she receives. At the end of each visit I ask her one question every time “are you happy here?” and the answer is always yes. She is safe, loved and happy at People’s. I am thankful for that.
I recently toured People's and was delighted by the atmosphere! When I arrived there were lots of residents out walking their dogs and interacting with one another, they I was able to meet many staff members, whom were all pleasant and took the time to greet me and answer my questions and show me around. They have a true "home like" feel. The dining room was enormous. I was fortunate to get to see the afternoon meal that the residents were eating and the meal was restaurant quality, it looked delicious! Large beautiful apartments, with inside and outside common areas for the people that live there to enjoy social time. GREAT location in a quiet tucked away neighborhood, but really convenient to main areas of Tacoma. If you are needing assisted living, take the time to TOUR this facility! I loved it!
Oh-- the People's Senior Living place is just wonderful.. Clean and bright and growing gardens. The staff people at People's are really helpful and kind. Come visit us! Something new and exciting is happening every day... Michael Crofoot- resident
