A lovely place for graceful aging. Living far from mom and dad there is always a level of anxiety and a what if I am not there when they need me the most. While not a substitute for your own blood, every time I visit with them, it is such a pleasure to know they live in such a beautiful community that honors graceful aging and their own journey. The apartments are gorgeous, early mornings are always graced with chirping birds and beautiful surroundings for morning walks. Their programs are innovative, thought provoking, highlight the enjoyment of life and living - I call this wealthful living. The team at PDR is always attentive to them and their needs, that gives me peace. From a daughter's perspective, it is a place I know my parents have their independent lives as well as being part of a supportive community and team. Thank you, PDR! It is a pleasure to know my parents are in good hands.

I had the pleasure of attending the tea and chocolates luncheon at Peninsula Del Rey Senior living community. It was an experience I still think about. They invited the founder and tea drinker Jody Beavers, who owns Tap Twice Tea. Jody brewed different teas for us to taste. I had no real knowledge of tea and was so impressed by his explanation of the different flavors and aromas. It was definitely a tea learning experience. Another first time experience was tasting tea with Dandelion chocolates. Who knew that tea and chocolate went well together? ❤️ The view from the room was spectacular as well, the windows were wide open and it was a beautiful clear, sunny winters day. If you ever are fortunate enough to be invited to Peninsula Del Rey I recommend you go! You won't be disappointed. I wish I took photos to share!!! 📸
Had the opportunity to tour this beautiful living facility with the Executive Director, Katherine Tazawa. Tucked away in the quiet suburb of Colma, you can enjoy a fantastic city view of SF from this property. The rooms are well appointed, spacious and inviting. From the impeccable dining room, hair salon, gorgeous shared spaces and grounds with a very accommodating, caring staff- this is the perfect community to spend one’s retirement years. They also have an extensive activity schedule to satisfy a multitude of interests. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for yourself or a loved one, look no further!
I had the pleasure of bringing my clients to Peninsula Del Rey over the weekend, and David was incredibly accommodating, arranging a last-minute tour for us. One of my clients required assisted living services immediately, and David gave us a wonderful tour of the community. Despite it being a Sunday morning, the community was very active and lively, which made a great impression. Although my clients ultimately decided against this community due to its distance, it would have been their first choice. The staff was so warm and welcoming to both my clients and their family, leaving a lasting positive impression.
