My mother died in this facility. She actually fell and broke her hip because they ignored the calls for help for assistance going to the restroom. She was a difficult patient which I understand, however if you continue giving opiate medication to a feeble patient until they go into respiratory failure, shame on you!!!!! Her bed was disgusting without sheets, only a blanket. It was horrible to watch. Please be careful if your loved one has a DNR order. As they will be more than happy to get another patient that needs more service so they can leech off of. After all, that's how they make there money. The staff acted nice when I visited, but my mother said they ignored her calls constantly. When I asked for the medication schedule leading up to her death, I never got a call back or any answer. Don't send your loved ones to this place especially if they are a more difficult case.

I'm presently here because my Dr felt it best after bleeding out then contracting Pneumonia. There are a a few good PT Staff and a few good Nurses. There is a Passive Agressive Nurse that refuses to answer my buzzer and the cause of a delay in my medication and needs. She insulted me in Tagalog and to her superior. Tonight she got 3 other nurses to tell me I could not use the Public Restroom. My shared restroom is filthy and a storage area. A Dr K in charge is absent and failed to follow Huntington Hospital s Protocol although agreed 8-10 days ago. I've tried reaching him for 6 consecutive days, crickets. Michael, Marketing Director lied/ mislead me about availability, continuity and Protocols consistent with HH he cant be trusted. Some Nurses withhold necessary medication because they lack the knowledge. If searching for a nursing home you could do much better if you care. Very few nurses use gloves. My roommate dropped his urinal, the housekeeping man stuck his hand in the urine cleaning it up and said it was water. He dropped a second that stunk up the room I had to sleep in the entryway. This place isn't professional although some are professionals. Nurses barring me from a public restroom is a first. Dr K may be likeable but unreliable, practices avoidance and calls Drug Rehab Pain Mgmt. Not professional and I've contacted attorneys for his lying about treatment, failure to follow-up and failure to administer agreed upon treatment I ve been asking for a Release but threatened w Against Medical Advice so my Insurance won't pay. They are misleading, manipulative and primarily Liars. I hope the Board that regulates this place will follow-up. More to come.
I felt right at home with the kindness of hearts that were at Pasadena Meadows. Joshua Hernandez, Christopher Pon and many others were true professionals who went above and beyond my expectations. I’m sorry I can’t remember the names of the other lovely female staffers as well. When I said goodbye it was an emotional experience. They say a place is only as good as the people who work there and the people who work at Pasadena Meadows are outstanding.
From the moment my aunt Vivien arrived, she mentioned, the staff was warm and inviting making her feel comfortable and at ease, which helped with her anxiety. My cousins who are her children also mentioned that they spoke to a staff who encouraged to bring items from home, giving us the ability to make it “her room” and feel more at home. I visited my aunt yesterday and all the staff was professional, from the time we checked in to the time we left. The nurse in charge made us feel welcomed and introduced herself and not to hesitate to ask if we have any questions or concerns, nurses were caring and compassionate to our whole family, during what is a difficult time for us with this whole new transition, and changes with my aunt. We highly recommend Pasadena Meadows and their staff to provide the quality of care we had only hoped for. Blessings to you all- Thomas A.
As a nursing instructor, I’ve been fortunate enough to bring my students to Pasadena Meadows for their clinicals. Immediately, visitors will notice the very warm welcome greeting at the entrance. It is a very clean facility. Patients are attended to in no time. The staff is very responsive to patient needs and call lights are promptly answered. I can feel the home atmosphere both residents and their families expect. There is pride and teamwork for the kind of work they do.
