1501 Mercury Rd, Balch Springs, TX 75181, United States
My mother moved there in March. The place is beautiful and had potential. The office people: Yessica, Karen, and Stacey are nice, but Mary is very condescending. The 3 ladies seem to have little knowledge about managing a complex nor have any power to make changes. It seemes they were just meeting quota to house residents by a deadline. Anyone could move in. It suppose to be senior living (80%), there's no way that 80% of the residents are seniors. That place is half a season from looking like the projects. The gates may or may not work, the gated doors are either broken or pried open by tenants, hence no security for the seniors that do live there. Tenants only have access to fitness center, club house, and business center during office hours (that may be a good thing though, to make it last). There is only 4 trash dumpsters for 200+ units. Trash is always overflowed and tenants put it anywhere (go through it, find out who it belongs to and fine them). The building issues are placed on maintenance to repair whereas management should know it's a contractor issue such as inoperable items, plumbing, builders flaws...the place hasn't been there even a year and has backlogged maintenance repairs. They say no grills (they have 2 for use), tenants still got grills on their patio and grilling. They smoke weed big time at the door way. Swimming pool full of kids, 40+, in there with blue jeans and t shirts, that will clog up the filters. It's getting messy real quick.

I have lived here for a year now, first one to live in my apartment, the first year was ok. I'm seeing more young adults and younger kid's, not to mention they have started leasing apartments next door at the sister property. Kid's are playing in the hallways,in and out of the security gates,no super vision. While the apartments are nice, don't know how long that will last, people leave bag's of trash in the stairway, mind you, there's no valet trash,, cigarettes smokers are throwing the cigarette butts in the hallways, weed smokers are doing the same. Sorry people and kids throw their trash down around the property, and wonder why they gentrify, hell I don't even want to live around some of them at this point.so what I'm saying is, don't complain about not having a nice decent place to live, when you are the one's destroying the property.
My experience here has been great. The office staff and maintenance team does a great job.The manger Sierra Curry is wonder very welcoming makes sure she helps all her residents where the help is needed.
These were very Nice and Clean in the beginning but Now there is no Housekeeping,Elevator stays down the floors on 1st floor are Disgusting, too many you boys men etc walking the halls all night. This is Suppose to be a Senior complex...The pools had bee down for over a year and they can't seem to keep a Manager,Security is a Joke
I have to say this was a beautiful hidden gem! I was not aware that these were 55 and older apartments so I didn’t look at them initially until somebody told me you need to check them out. The minute I walked in I knew I wanted to live there. The apartments are huge and so well designed for the community that they are servicing. Now that’s the apartment…what makes it even more appealing is that the staff are outstanding! They are very patient, especially Ms. Staci. You will never walk in without a pleasant acknowledgment, even if they can’t get to you right away. You are never rushed and they answer every question you have with smile. Poor Ms. Staci it took me a while to complete my paperwork and she sat there patiently waiting to answer any questions I might have. Again, I have to say that Stacy was amazing. I also saw other staff that were sitting and working with future tenants as well and they showed just as much patience as well. I look forward to calling this my home, but if ever something happens and that doesn’t come to fruition, I still think that the staff there are the icing on the cake when it comes to the appeal to this apartment complex.
