My senior friend Bill was placed in Park Vista by some mean-spirited (well meaning?) church members who took his house and confined him to a 460-Sq/Ft room with barely enough room to turn his wheelchair around. I lived in a Navy Barracks Room that was larger than these tiny rooms. Bill tells me that the staff often wakes him up late at night to take his meds after he has already gone to sleep! He is being charged over $8K/month for the teeny, tiny room they have him sequestered in. He has an electronic wrist band that supposedly calls for help, but they often either don't respond or take more than 1 hour to respond. I wish we could move him to a better assisted living facility!

EDIT- my apologies I meant STATE Not Jeremiah He was there the day before to clean the place up so you guys didn’t look bad since we once again had no executive director, You know just like Megan used to do and Rebecca well, of course, before you fired her Leaving the building without an executive Director ONCE AGAIN. if it’s 100% by the rules, how come you guys keep getting fined?. And I can say you guys are 100% lying when you say residents are your priority Because even when you guys had multiple car thefts (within a few week span) and break-ins 2 of which the person made it inside a residents living room And one where the 95+ year-old resident had to scare The person off herself in the middle of the night. You people did NOTHING while we had to deal with the residents yelling at us for not being protected And rightfully so. reading is key. it clearly says that I worked there for two years not that I was employed two years ago and the CNA ADMITTED to abusing the resident a few weeks after my departure to which I still had many people that I know working in the building n, including on the medical side. And if you think anybody in that building has ever kept their mouth shut about anything. you’re wrong we both know they aren’t rumors This place is a dump Don't ruin your reputation here Maintenance Director - Port Orchard, WA I'm the former Maintenance director that left late 2023 and can say firsthand. This place is an absolute dump. From furnaces in memory care putting out CO2 in the air (confirmed by licensed HVAC technician) To letting quotes go completely completely ignored. or also how Jeremiah from upper management and an executive director, directed the care coordinator of park vista to not report an abuse that was admitted to by a CNA. Because we had corporate coming in next day. And them made the CNA stay on the clock for the rest of his shift and continued as if nothing happened. not to mention, they've been fined for this same exact thing in the past obviously they didn't learn. then the care coordinator was coincidentally fired two weeks later for not lying like they directed her too even though she was just promoted days before it smells fishy to me
Visited in December for my mom who is moving from Texas. We arranged a tour with Julia just before holidays. The lobby was decorated with a big gorgeous Christmas tree and throughout the building was decor for the season. We are not easily pleased and really were worried about the process of getting into just the right place. Knowing that no place is going to be perfect, we ultimately decided on Bonaventure and aren’t disappointed in the least. The apt was recently painted and new carpeting installed. Everything seems clean and maintenance was working to install new closet shelves. We like that everything we wanted was included in the price of monthly rent. If mom needs to convert to assisted living, she can stay in same apt and services will be upgraded at a higher cost but at least she’ll be in same place. Everyone we encountered was friendly and said they liked living there and had made good friends in short time. Julia was our tour guide and showed us a lounge area where they have happy hours, sewing room complete with drawers of fabrics, tv room for watching on big screens with popcorn machine, game/puzzle room, crafting room, library, private dining rooms plus beautiful back patio. The restaurant or cafe treated everyone like fine dining restaurant. Busy during bfast & dinner but it’s my understanding that can take either meal in her room as she chooses. We are almost ready to move mom into her new place and she’s very excited. Julia has gone above and beyond by returning the many texts and questions, she is very cheerful and genuinely seems to care about the residents. We have had a very positive experience so far. If there are any glaring concerns I feel like we’d know quickly. Everyone we met is very open and willing to share their experiences. If mom wants to cocoon in her place that is fine too. No pressure at all to participate in activities but they have them daily. Will take pics and post before and after move-in.
Park Vista by Bonaventure in Port Orchard, Washington is an amazing facility. The staff is eager to assist. I would like to specifically acknowledge the memory care department. Debbie, Aubrey and the entire staff have been exceptional in the way they take care of my mother. My mother, who has dementia, was at another facility, and was rapidly decreasing mentally and physically. My family was in a constant state of worry. Since we moved her to Park Vista, she has made a dramatic turn for the better. Debbie and her staff offer a unique environment that caters to the specific needs of each resident. We are extremely thankful for the job they do.
I stopped by one day to set up a tour for my mom and became part of the family. Julia gave us a tour the same day. My mom moved in 3 weeks later and it’s been the greatest experience ever. My mom is happy here and she’s made friends!!
