My parents were residents of Park Place of Elmhurst for 9+ years. In that time they were part of the Independent living, Assisted living and Health and Wellness Centers. Park Place afforded both of them a quality of life at every step. They enjoyed new friendships and the lifestyle at Independent living and my mom in Assisted living. When they needed short term additional care the transition to and from the Health and Wellness Center was easy and seamless. I would strongly recommend Park Place to any family because Park Place is a safe, welcoming and great community which provides so much for single or married aging couples. For our family we were able to relax knowing our parents were in a happy and safe community with friends and plenty of activities to give them a great life. When considering a Lifestyle community I am so glad together with Mom and Dad we chose Park Place. Howard Van Dyke

Park Place of Elmhurst is a beautiful community. They have a great focus on residents and patients needs every day. Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Residents are friendly with each other and staff.
Park Place is a beautiful facility, and they truly care about their residents and patients. I have had multiple family friends complete their rehab here, and they have had a great experience! The staff is kind and friendly.
Rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and did best to accommodate needs of patients. My mom was in rehab over Christmas holidays and some weekends they were understaffed which made for longer wait times but overall good response. Administrative staff would check in on patients daily to see how things going and alert family if any concerns. Nurses, doctors, CNAs, PT’s and OT’s were knowledgeable and took time to listen to patients and be thorough in there exams.
This facility did not help my family member to the best of their ability. My grandmother fell, broke her femur and was sent here to get better. My grandma is going to be 90 and prior to the fall did everything on her own. She lived independently and took care of herself. One of the key things for the elderly after a fall is to get them moving as soon as possible so that they do not become bedridden. This facility did not give my grandma proper exercises and even went as far to contact her independent living facility to say she could not eat on her own which was certainly not the case and a blatant lie. We have since moved her out of the facility to a different place and she can now get out of bed and started walking, something she could not do at the rehab facility. Prior to us leaving, they told us she would need 24 hour care and would be in a nursing home. Our goal for the elderly should be we WANT to see them get better, not just discard them because of age. Very disappointed in this service. I would not send any family members here if your goal is for them to get better, not only that they will lie about the reality of a given situation as well.
