After a hospital stay, doctors recommended that my 84 year old mother-in-law spend time at skilled nursing facility to regain strength before returning home. We were given a choice of a couple places, but she ended up at Park Manor The Woodlands based on availability and Medicare approval. From the moment of transfer the problems began. She was picked up in a filthy van, and then upon arrival was set out in the hallway. The place reeked of urine, and when she was finally brought into the assigned shared room, the bed was a cot with a pad (I wouldn’t call it a mattress). Floor was filthy, everything surrounding the bed and air filters was covered in dust. When we met her there to make sure she got settled in, we were in shock at how disgusting the place was. There was no way we were going to leave her there. She spent less than an hour there, and we asked for immediate discharge. How this place passes any kind of health inspection is beyond my comprehension. Please, do not send your loved ones here!

Gave it three stars cause the Physical the physical therapy dept, they are great!!! Breakfast is usually good but lunch and dinner are usually not good. We are having to go to restaurants for lunch and dinner and bring it back for her. The hallway her room is attached to is extremely loud hard to get rest. Here’s her dinner, a hot roast beef sandwich…ridiculous.
My brother who suffers from dementia and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer has been a resident at this facility for the past 3 1/2 years, as the history of nursing homes is for the most part a total nightmare to families of love ones at these facilities, I must say that NOT here!! He has gotten the best care that anyone could possibly ask for their love ones! The staff (all of them) have cared for him as though he was one of their own. It has always been so reassuring to see how they interact with him and care about his wellbeing. I am so grateful to have had such a supportive experience. One always hears about the bad things that happen at NURSING HOMES, well, if I should ever need nursing care this is where I want to go. Wonderful, awesome, incredible community of health care professionals. Know that I am so grateful for your service and will be forever indebted to you.
I would give a negative review if possible. My father spent a week there and we pulled him out early. The staff do not provide the prescribed therapy, they do not ensure the patients are clean and cared for. Terrible service overall.
I’m not sure what’s up with the bad reviews but my Mother has been here for 2 weeks after having multiple strokes and everyone at Park Manor has been great! She is very picky and even she tells me all the time how good they take care of her even when me or other family members aren’t there. So far I have nothing negative to say about Park Manor.
