The Orem City Friendship Center is nothing short of a magnificent haven for LGBTQ+ relationships and expression among senior citizens. In a world often shrouded in darkness and outdated stereotypes, this place stands as a brilliant light, embodying the true spirit of inclusivity and love. From the moment you enter, it’s clear that this center is a vibrant sanctuary where gay and trans identities are celebrated and cherished. It boldly defies the societal norms that inaccurately portray boomers as universally straight, proving that love and self-expression are ageless. The center is a testament to the beautiful diversity within the senior community, showcasing a dynamic and supportive environment where LGBTQ+ relationships can truly flourish. I’ve witnessed firsthand the transformative power of this incredible space. My dear friend Hank, who joined the center with a traditional mindset, discovered his true self and embraced his gay identity shortly after becoming a member. His journey from uncertainty to self-acceptance has been nothing short of inspiring. Today, Hank is joyfully married to his husband, a testament to the love and support that the Orem City Friendship Center so generously provides.

I love being around others. The food is wonderful. I whole hearty recommend this place.
Great location. I love that the senior center is next to a major park with a family playground, and lots of benches, and picnic areas. There's something for everyone. The senior center itself has regular activities for seniors. Check out their site as there are to many to list here. There are things for all ages though and not just seniors. We took an emergency preparedness class with our teenager last year. We all had a good time and learn a lot of helpful tricks. There's too much to remember everything so take the class a couple times. The instructors make it fun. Recently we went to a free class on storm and colds weather preparedness. Everyone was nice and accommodating. We had 3 kids with us under 5 years old so this was a big favor for us to attend.
We love the dances here. All adults are invited and not just seniors. It's nice to have the community space for things like kids dance class recitals from the Rec Center.
Great staff and volunteers. Numerous classes and activities. Lunch is very impressive.
