It’s been a very challenging road ahead dealing with my mom’s dementia and the fact that she was no longer to live on her own performing her day to day activities. After many attempts of family care, my mom’s health continued declining through the constant falls she was now having, needing 24 hour attention. The staff at Castle Hill have been able to provide that. Maribel Alonso from the Admission Department was the first and only one from a few Rehabilitation Centers to reach out to me when my mom was in the hospital. Her kind words, reassurance and advice that everything would be ok was beyond helpful. I was overtaken by the care and compassion in her voice, that I chose Castle Hill as the Rehabilitation Center for my mom’s health to improve. Once there, my whole outlook kept on moving in a very positive direction. My mom started exercising 5 times a week, everyone in the Physical Therapy department demonstrated to be very knowledgeable through their exercises and care. My mom was now eating well again, being able to stand on her own, seen by doctors right there on the premises. She needed X-rays and an ultrasound and it was done write on the premises, not having to worry about transporting my mom anywhere else. Damaris, the Social Worker had been very informative and helpful, David, the Head of Maintenance, always from Day 1 very understanding. Everyone’s level of compassion has gone above and beyond. I am very grateful and blessed that my mom is receiving the care and compassion that she deserves.

If I could give 0 I would. I'm sharing this because I think it's important to know how poorly they care for your loved ones in this facility. My mother say in a wet diaper for hours giving her a fungul infection as well as a UTI. They would not take her to the bathroom. She had to go back to the hospital because of the infections so instead of them treating her belongings like their own, they through them in trash bags. While I was picking up her belongings that were thrown in a trash bag, another patients family member explained to the staff that his loved one was in a wet diaper and wet sheets for hours. Right when I was standing there. This isn't just one patient, this is all. If you have a loved one there, please check on them. Please hold this facility accountable. No one deserves to be left sitting in urine for hours! No one deserves to be forgotten about. And if they can't handle a patient, they shouldn't take them. Yes I will be submitting a report to the state as that facility needs to be reviewed for standards and patients rights. They stole from her and could care less to investigate on top if everything else!
A brother priest was here for several months, he was very weak and fragile after his fall and surgery. Here they provided therapy and care for him to recover. The staff, nurses were all very attentive to his needs, thus being able to move him eventually to California.
Today when I went to see my cousin I found that the religious images he had and all his pictures were missing I tried to talk to the nurses but of course they don’t know anything later I went to talk to the director and she had The audacity to tell me he never had any such things and that anyway nobody visited him.that’s Castle Hill for you. I will never recommend that place. This is not the first time this happens. His dentures and glasses disappear also. The place is a disaster.
My mother has been at this facility for about 9 months and I have no complaints about the way they take care of her and I’m forever thankful for that cause I do frequently visit her … HOWEVER when I do call them on the 4th floor to see how’s my mother doing they don’t pick up and that upsets me very much cause I’m calling to see how’s she doing and they can quickly pick up and tell me she’s ok and doing well … I believe they have caller ID and when they see my name they don’t pick up, I was calling once and I was literally there and the nurses saw the phone and didn’t pick up but once they saw me that I was there they looked like they seen a ghost … if the family calls to see how’s a loved one just pick up and let us know that’s all … while my mother is in this facility I will visit numerous times and call as well to see how’s she doing …
