I would give negative stars but there was no option! I would not recommend you send your loved one here! This place is a disorganized mess! When we arrived from Rehab no one had mom in the system or knew what room she was to be after confirming with Rehab they would accept her. No protocol to welcome or admit. We had to advocate for everything to get done for mom. She missed her medications for two days! Her medical needs were not being met! We were the ones who were constantly having to be there with advocacy for our loved one to get basic needs and care! We had several meetings with administrators and were given a lot of excuses and apologies but saw no change. We did not feel like Mom was safe there!!!! Many of the direct care staff would be huddled around chatting while there were many call lights on with total ignoring of the light. Fortunately mom was able to call us during the night to say her call light was on the floor and no one came for hours. The list goes on and on of very poor care and big attitudes. We stayed for 7 days and have now moved on. When we were admitted to a new skilled care facility we realized the difference! There is much work to be done from the new administration to try to turn this place around. Too many people working there have a negative attitude and do not give the residents the self respect and care they deserve.

My mother was a resident for fifteen months at Cranberry Park. The progression of her dementia was both sad and heartbreaking. I always found the staff to be gentle, empathetic and thoughtful. All the staff…nurses, nurse aides, custodial etc…interacted with my mother and the other residents, talking , walking or just sitting with them. The atmosphere was always calm and the interaction between staff members and staff to resident was cordial and civil. Staff always had an answer or could get an answer to any question I had. But most importantly…and I often thanked God for this…my mother was comfortable at CP. I saw evidence of this. Whenever I visited and a staff member would say hi to her, she would smile in return, even though in the last few months of her life she was unable to speak. The needs of my mother…social, physical and spiritual…were met at CP. Each individual staff member contributed to the care of my mother. They knew what had to be done and did it well. God bless all of you.
Do not recommend this place. They do not work with patients that have issues with dementia. They will say they do when taking on new patients to get revenue but once the patient starts having issues (which is normal for people with dementia) they will give you a 30 day eviction notice and they have even dropped off patients at the hospital and refused to take them back. Maybe the new owners can turn this place around if they replace staff and care about their patients more than when they were under the name Samaritas.
This place gave my loved one pills before dialysis! It was made clear to them that no medicine should be given prior to this invasive procedure. My loved one kept telling them no pills but they insisted on giving them to her anyway! While she was having her treatment she got very sick and almost had to go to the hospital again! This is a clear case of malpractice! I was giving the name of the manager Tom Lyon and he does not answer the phone or return calls! This issue will not go on without consequence. Please keep your loved ones out of this place. All they care about is cash. If you can take care of them at home please do so!
Your place is disgusting. You leave your residents in their own deification and urine for days on end you pay NO mind to your clients. This place is an absolute disgrace and need to be shut down. DO NOT bring your family here to be cared for. They will end up worse off than before.
