If I could give zero stars, I would and it’s entirely because of the social worker. My mother was here for several weeks and it was terrible because of Shauna It is beyond me how someone so cold, unresponsive, and flatout incompetent is allowed to hold a position that directly impacts vulnerable residents and their families. Concerns are brushed off and she showed zero compassion . It’s not just disappointing it’s negligent. This person is a liability, not a resource, and they are actively making an already difficult situation worse. If anyone in leadership is actually paying attention fire her immediately. Your residents and their families deserve better better!
If you have a loved one staying here, you should strongly consider relocating them immediately. Upon entering the lobby, you’re met with an overwhelming odor of fecal matter. Walking down the so-called "Rose Garden" hallway is an even worse experience, as the stench of dirty diapers and human excrement is so overpowering that breathing through your nose becomes nearly impossible. The staff is highly unprofessional. There was no one stationed at the front desk to greet visitors, and there are no security measures in place to prevent residents from wandering out the front doors. When we attempted to ask questions at a nursing station, we were met with dismissive attitudes, as though our presence was an inconvenience.
My mother Sharon 65 years old came to O'Neil's Middleburg Heights on 5/5/2024 under CCF Hospice care. Her and I couldn't be more blessed to have this facility. The staff has been so caring and warm from day one. The clinical staff has been guardian angels to her and I. All the staff from Jeanne front desk, to administration, to fiance, to cleaning, to cooks, activity director, to STNA and all nurses have been incredibly. I came almost daily and at all times. Even at times clinical staff tired or overwhelmed they always showed these residents with love and compassion. Bless all of them for their hard work.
Don't take your loved ones there, the facilities are old, uncomfortable and dirty. All the five starts come from employees, don’t get fooled. We had a bad experience I don’t understand how nurses don’t get it yet when you moved a patient to a different room you have to check and make sure the oxygen compressor is well connected, but they are careless and unprofessional. I found my mom with very low levels of oxygen because someone didn’t their job, she was taken to the nearest hospital when I found her. Nobody takes responsibility I was angry and sad but happy to be out of that horrible place.
