Place is great without trashy management. Traveling volleyball trainers? I honestly think they’ll hire any couple with a pulse whether their heart is in it or not. Married or not. Which apparently seems to be a struggle here finding good people that actually stick to the Core Values of this company. These are basic values to most people, but be sure to ask what they are and if you decide to rent here hold them to the letter. I’ll give you a hint, one is kindness, and another is service excellence. There’s a few more. It’s a lot of money and life is too short.

My mom has lived here since they opened. It is a very clean, well cared for facility. There is lots to do! The food selection is good. There has been a lot of turn over in managers and cooking staff. Not sure if this is a corporate model or just being a large and busy facility. For an INDEPENDENT LIVING facility this is one of the best!
When they first opened it was great… then they move the managers and sales force out to open another facility. Little by little they start taking away promised amenities and wonderful meals. I invited a friend on my mom for dinner one night- they were serving frozen pizzas they got from a papa John’s. They also do t have an AED as not required by the state. Not too caring for an older population .
What a wonderful community! We have been here only 3 weeks and love the residents. We really enjoy the food and the positive atmosphere at Okatie Pines.
Highly recommend!! Cant say enough good things about OP and RLC. Tamie and JR are such wonderful managers. I am not sure how they do it...ALL of the staff are so caring and amazing. My father has an absolutely amazing experience at OP.
