I’ve placed many folks in this building. They are thriving, made life long friends & living their best lives thanks to the caring & professional staff. Diana is a wonderful & nurturing administrator & runs a tight ship. I highly recommend this facility. That’s if there are any available apartments. Highly desired

After new ownership this nursing home has gone down the drain, owners miss treats residents and staff. Management purposefully terminated great staff when they ask for a change on how residents are treated. Honestly words can’t explain the treat residents receive. I’m so glade I remove my parent from this location and I advise others to do the same. Oasis at Margate some one should really look into their business practices and the treatment of elderly residents.
Been here 10 months Diana is a godsend! Food is good, staff is wonderful Ciara takes care of any issues
My mother lived at this facility for seven years and was very happy. Then it was purchased this year by 428healthcare. That is when the serious cost-cutting began. As I was told by a staff member before she quit in disgust when she had to purchase laundry detergent for the residents’ laundry out of her own pocket, my mother was just a number on a spreadsheet. First, they took the phones out of residents’ rooms, making calling them nearly impossible. Worse, when I asked how my mother was going to call the nurse’s station in case of emergency, they told me she could open the door to her room and scream down the hallway. Oh, and that her neighbor had good hearing and would probably hear her and help. Next, the nursing staff quit. Now, they have “medical technicians.” They fired the social director. Gone are the days when the residents had happy hour, cake socials, entertainment, bingo. Now, they are placed in front of a TV where they exercise to a video. Residents complain that the food has gone downhill. Sandwiches are usually what is for dinner. They are afraid to say anything for fear of being evicted. Which is what happened to my mom. The day that I found her lying in soiled sheets and with feces on her toilet seat, bowl, mat, and floor after she had come from the hospital with a UTI, I had the nerve to call the police. When my mother was hospitalized again, I went to her room to collect some things and was told by the person at the front desk (it’s a miracle there was someone there because most times there isn’t, so phones don’t get answered and the front door is not monitored) that I had until the end of the day to move my mother out. Nice. I did not want to make a scene so I moved as much of my mother’s belongings out as I could. I had to leave a lot her stuff behind. This was an illegal eviction since my mother never got a 45-day notice. My mother is now dying in the hospital as I scramble to find another facility to move her into so that she can get proper hospice care. I am comforted by the knowledge that, wherever she ends up, she will not be at the ruthless mercy of the unprofessional and uncaring staff at Oasis of Margate, especially Michael, the incredibly rude administrator.
Mom had been living happily at Oasis for six years when it used to be Margate Manor. Then it got taken over by 428 Healthcare. Food quality gone down. Meds, according to other residents, given out late or not at all. Air conditioner broke for two days in my mom's room. Telephones removed from rooms. When asked how mom was to ask for help, the staff told her she could go in the hallway and call for help. Staff that had been there for 10, 15 years all quit or were fired. And to top it off, mom had to go to the hospital. When they brought her back, my sister met the EMTs at Oasis. Nobody was at the front desk. The dropped mom off on a mat on her bed. We went back two hours later, after calling the front desk numerous times with no answer, to check on mom. She had not been fed. Two days later, the same thing. My sister had to go to feed her and clean up. We filed a complaint. Three days later, mom was back in the hospital. We went to pick up some things for her from her room to bring to her. The front desk employee told us that management had told her to advise us that we had 24 hours to vacate mom from Oasis. In violation not only of the contract, but the law! We have moved her to another location, thank God.
