The staff is so accommodating !! Very friendly.. treat you like one of their own family !! It’s very clean .. never has the smell typical of walking into a care facility ! That sold me first !! Food is fabulous !! Kyle can cook for me any day !! Corrine is the most amazing activities Director !! Never misses a beat celebrating national days!! Really keeps the residents moving!! For a facility that takes care of individuals with dementia, this is fabulous!! The nursing staff is amazing also.. right on top of issues.. reaching out to family when necessary !! They are so lucky to have Ed as their director . He makes sure everything is to code and looks into what can be done to make it an even better living experience !! The backyard .. is so calming for everyone . I know my mom loves sitting out in the gazebo on warm sunny day!

One of the reasons I chose Oakwood Terrace for my husband is the fact it is a small facility that is clean, bright, cheerful with a wonderful caring, compassionate staff! Every holiday, whether big or small , is celebrated so lovely for the residents. Daily activities are so well planned and the meals are very tastefully prepared and served hot! Afternoon and evening treats are loved by the residents! Glad I made the right choice!
After the difficult decision to look into assisted living for my father-in-law, we went through the low of a poorly run facility that lacked empathy. While looking for a better environment with compassionate, well-versed staff, we found Oakwood Terrace. From the moment Edward Metzger came to meet my father-in-law in the hospital for emergency placement, I knew that Oakwood would be the answer we were so desperately looking for. After he was settled in, I had the opportunity to meet the caring, diligent staff. They continue to go above and beyond for the well-being and comfort of the residents. The staff ensures the environment is cleanly, safe, and, most of all, comfortable for not only the residence, but for the families as well. For a small facility, it is very clean, and the staff genuinely care for the residents. They seem to get more individualized care than larger facilities, which is definitely something you want for a loved one.
Very impressed with the level of care at this facility. Attentive professional nursing staff, helpful aides, friendly dining room staff. Good communication with family members of their residents. Very clean and attention to maintenance. Community outreach as COVID vaccine administration site was very well organized.
