The Oaks is a great company who is owned by people that really care. You won’t find a more compassionate, loving and solid management company behind The Oaks. I believe in the quality of their care. The employees are treated as family and staff are warm and friendly! This is a great company!
Beware We paid for my Dad's room per the contract for march rent. He passed on February 29th. His room was cleaned out by 03/02 We were told the refund check was sent o3/22. Since then, I have been told. 4 different stories by Kat, John and Jamie about where the check is. These are facts, not bad mouthing I will update when and if we receive the refund. Our next step is lawsuit
I am writing to warn you not to place your loved one in the Alpharetta Oaks Community. The management is clearly motivated by greed rather than quality care. I was thrilled with my Mothers care at The Oaks of Alpharetta until the new management took over.. The cleanliness and food services immediately deteriorated to the point where my 86 year old mother was regularly served inedible meals such as burned hot dog buns and kidney beans as the main protein. Most importantly, she was left unattended for hours at a time resulting in falls that could have been catastrophic. On more than one occasion I had to personally change her pull-up which was full of urine and feces. Alarmingly, I found my mother with feces down her leg and under her fingernails on more than one occasion. I discussed the situation with Julie Terrazzano, the new manager. She was combative and demeaning explaining that she had inherited “this mess.” DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THESE FACILITIES.
Would I recommend Oaks Senior Living at Salem Road in Beaufort, SC? Absolutely! The Executive Director and her staff at top notch and I feel comfortable and confident having my sister there. Would I recommend Oaks Senior Living as an entity? Probably not. Since taking over their billing/payments have been a nightmare and it has taken them almost 2 years to get automatic payments established. And their communications with the resident families is almost non-existant. It doesn't seem like they were prepared at all for taking over all of the 5 Star facilities. Hopefully all of their facilities are run better than their corporate office. As I previously stated, the Oaks Senior Living at Salem Road is excellent.
