What a wonderful experience with everyone in this building. I cannot say enough nice things. All of my interactions with the Nursing staff have been wonderful. They go above and beyond. The Social Worker is Wonderful- She is Super organized! She will get you all of the different resources to help you while you are in the building. Then- when you are ready to go home - she will organize your discharge with everything needed to get you home safely. The Admissions Director is super helpful and is a wonderful guide. She will help to guide you through the process of getting your loved one into the building and get the help that they need. Thank you for being in our wonderful community - I’m thankful that we have this great care facility so close to home.

I've had the pleasure of working with The Oaks of Brecksville as an outside hospice/ home care provider for that past 5 years. It has always been and continues to be a top provider of skilled nursing and long term care in our area. I've personally recommended The Oaks of Brecksville to friends and family with no complaints. The setting in Brecksville, OH is beautiful and the interior is always kept clean and up to date. The staff that I've had the privilege to partner with has always been very compassionate and professional in their care for patients. I highly recommend The Oaks of Brecksville if you or any family member require skilled nursing, rehab or long term care
I have stayed at several different facilities and I would have to rate the Oaks as one of the best. They have great care workers like Linda and Miguel . The meals are very good and filling. I have been to places like vista springs and they were terrible except for the excellent therapy.
I would look into placing my loved one in a different place. However if you have no choice at least use a camera. It’s Ohio law you can have a camera in the room We had one for my dad and what we seen would make you sick. No physical abuse However he had fallen a few times in his room and no one came to get him as he was yelling at the top of his lungs for help. We would call to let them know, but if it’s after hours you can’t get anyone to pick up the phone. He was repeatedly left in bed to eat but not set up correct. So he was on his back trying to eat Again called and called no one answered. We had one aid who totally humiliated him when he first came to the oaks by complaining about him to us for over 45 minutes Samantha the DoN is a joke. You mine as well talk to the wall she will do nothing Kim the administration lady was literally the only chance we had to fix anything. She did get the job done. But it should have never came to that. The aids need better training and someone needs to answer the phone at night Last month my dad died and is finally free from that place. But here is the last thing they did. Hospice told them my dad needed meds every hour. This was in the last few hours of life and the lady in charge of the nurses ( can’t remember her name) but looks like a biker chick told hospice that they can’t promise they can get it to him every hour They have several good aids and I can’t remember the names of them all. Good nurses too Shawna the one aid is absolutely fantastic I will forever be greatfull on how she treated him. The male nurse Robin was fantastic and Cheryl drazen was another one who was fantastic. I can’t even begin to imagine how bad it would of been without them Other good aids but unfortunately I don’t know the names. Bottom line get a Camera and keep an eye on your loved one. We called hundreds of times but you have to speak for them Let’s be honest if they could take care of themselves they would not be here Most have dementia like my dad and can’t talk or have no idea what’s even going on You have to be the voice They will hate you for it but it’s your job as the family I guarantee you they are happy my dad is gone because we don’t call anymore But at least I can say we did everything we could for my dad and I will never regret calling them for things done wrong
It is always difficult to have a family member in rehab but the staff at The Oaks are so very supportive, caring and professional, it makes the situation better. They also helped us with resources for how to move forward. I can’t say enough good about this place.
