I can’t say enough good things about this community. The staff are all so caring and friendly. The facility is clean and inviting, and each apartment is bright and open. There are plenty of activities for those who want to participate, and access to transportation and daily shopping outings are offered. Meals offer a variety of choices served restaurant style. Mom loves it here, and we are so glad she found this wonderful community.

My two elderly parents moved into Oakmont in February. After initial adjustments to living in a community versus their personal home, they have grown to love the interaction with other residents. The convenience of having our parents close and the safety of having them in a location where there is constant supervision is very calming to myself and all of my siblings.
When our father made the decision to move to a Senior Living Community, he chose Oakmont Manor because it immediately felt like home. The well appointed decor and warm atmosphere drew him in, while the strong sense of community among residents and staff created a family he quickly embraced. He appreciated the variety in weekly menus and, during meals and many social activities, he developed rich relationships with his neighbors. He felt fortunate to have found Oakmont because the residents, staff, PT, OT, housekeepers, etc. all contributed to a joyous atmosphere that he truly loved.
After he decided to sell his condo, my father had the privilege of living at Oakmont Manor for one and a half years. Prior to his move, we visited multiple senior communities. He chose Oakmont Manor because to him it felt most like Home. From our first visit, we were impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Always a warm welcome from the receptionist, and administration readily addressed our many questions and concerns, putting us at ease and ultimately ensuring a smooth transition. The positive culture among the staff members became evident over time. And to us, the fact that many of the staff members have worked there long-term spoke volumes. From Housekeeping, Activities, Kitchen/Wait Staff, Maintenance, Physical Therapy—staff members truly care about the residents. They took a special interest and made an effort to connect personally, always willing to pitch in wherever needed. It truly felt like family. With a car, initially, my father was able to come and go as he pleased. But, what he liked most, is that dinner was waiting for him every day. As a widower, he was not especially adept at cooking, so the restaurant-style dining was a plus, offering many daily options throughout the week. We were grateful for such an amazing chef. At Oakmont Manor, the robust social calendar is impressive. At first, my father didn’t seem interested in joining the many activities planned, but in no time, he was setting aside his dollar bills for Bingo, and clearing his calendar for Friday Happy Hour—a great time for socialization, entertainment, and fun. Over the years, he enjoyed trips to the car museum, baseball games, men’s lunches—there’s something for everyone if you’re willing to participate. During the cold months, residents gather downstairs for coffee/tea and cookies, while in the warmer months, they enjoy meeting outside. My father made many friends and often stated that he wished he would have made his move sooner. I remember him saying, “I really love it here.” High recommendations to Oakmont Manor!
My mom went into Oakmont from another place in Warren two years ago and loved it from day 1. This place has an excellent staff, stable employees, and most of all a vibrant community. The residents are friendly open and everywhere. They have excellent services for activities and trips to stores etc. I onsite screened 20 places before picking this place and it never disappointed. I would recommend this all day everyday. My mom loved this place before passing recently.
