I recently started volunteering at Park Place in the activities department. Residents are well cared for and the community does a great job of keeping those with memory impairments active. I’m in other nursing homes and senior care communities across the country, Park Place is well above average when it comes to cleanliness of the building, programs that are available, and staffing levels. Would highly recommend!

We have had a very good experience with Oak Park Place. They have treated my Dad very well. I haven't seen any neglect as far as my Dad is concerned. We are very happy with the food here and the staff is very friendly and courteous. No complaints from our family!
PLEASE DONT.. send your love ones to this facility. My best friends dad had just passed this past weekend, she had a camera in the room because of previous incidents and neglect that have taken place. Her father had been given his food and on his diet was to be purred. There is a high probability he was given regular food due to the fact of someone not checking and on the camera he was chocking and he was allowed to drowned in his own vomit and mucus. The video shows that the nurse Vikki the nurse said “he always does this” this is and walked away. I was in the room and witnessed his passing and the Negligent staff who didn’t even come in to see if he was comfortable during this time, no was there a nurse on staff or a stethoscope on the unit for “Me “ to confirm his passing… yes say that out loud it’s God awful, this place has multiple complaints. The DON Director of Nursing is never available nor present on the units. They don’t even have CNA or CMA on the unit they are trained in 2 days and are not certified and are patient care assistants. As I was interviewing them during my time there. We will never get my friend’s father back, but we are trying to bring awareness of neglect and lack of accountability! The outside is beautiful the staff is incompetent and the Director of Nursing should be ashamed of herself to allow a facility like this to be ran under her name is Leslie. The state has been in on several occasions and nothing happens so pls be aware and read . This man had aspirated his food and all could have been avoided we have time lines on the cameras that have shown no one was in his room for 12 hours at a time . Time for change! We don’t want this to happen to any other families! The long term staff was amazing, however all the new employees were not trained . Also just found out there was and Ecoli outbreak that was kept on the down low. They also just lost another resident!
I had to report resident abuse/neglect and call 911 myself for a resident who needed help for a severe injury after being left unattended and in pain FOR DAYS. This facility is nothing but neglect and God awful management/nurses who ignore complaints/reports about resident health and issues. Makes me sick the things I've seen here. Shut it down. So many deaths already that could have been prevented. These "good reviews" the last couple months are so fake or from people who completely turn a blind eye to what is going on.
A family friend recently moved into Oak Park Place and she has been loving it. The community events are always the highlight of her day. The admissions director is so sweet and was very helpful in the transition, I believe her name was Jen. Leslie and Vicky were extremely supportive as well. Overall a very pleasant experience so far.
