Review of Oak Park Oasis Nursing Home I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Oak Park Oasis Nursing Home, and I must say, I was deeply appalled by what I encountered. The facility is in a state of disrepair, with peeling paint, worn-out furniture, and an overall lack of cleanliness that gives it a neglected feel. It’s disheartening to see a place that should be a haven for our elderly loved ones in such a run-down condition. Moreover, I was particularly taken aback by the inappropriate attire of the Director of Nursing (DON). Her uniforms were not only revealing but also overly tight, which felt unprofessional and out of place for a healthcare environment. It is essential for a nursing home to maintain a standard of professionalism, and the DON’s attire certainly does not reflect that. The combination of the facility's poor condition and the lack of professionalism from the staff in leadership roles raises serious concerns about the quality of care provided to the residents. Our elderly deserve better. I hope management takes immediate action to rectify these issues for the well-being and dignity of their residents. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Oak Park Oasis Nursing Home until significant improvements are made both in the facility's upkeep and in the professionalism of its staff.

Worse Nursing Home I’ve Ever Visited!when you come in yeah it smells nice but when you go to the second floor Wow ! It’s ran down and absolutely stinks! The diner room has barely no chairs and the tables are so old that you stick to them ! They miss treat the people who can use the washroom on their own. Check on y’all people for really this place needs cleaning and love
I worked there for 3yrs! There are good nurses and cna’s.. They have a DON Laura and she is Garbage! While l was there they had 4 hr managers, 3 assistant administrators. Management is so unprofessional. They have a high turnover rate of staff mostly due to poor management. They had a main elevator broken for at least 4 to 5 months. The state is always there investigating issues. I would advise anyone with love ones not to send them there. If you love them don't send them there. I wouldn”t send a dog their!!!!
I really don’t like posting bad or negative reviews. However, I am one who hopes someone, somewhere would do something about the conditions of this nursing home. I visited a relative at this location a few days ago and I was shocked at the physical condition of this facility. This place looks like it has not seen any updates nor upgrades since the 1970s! The windows are in terrible condition, the shrubs, bushes, and trees around the facility are growing out of control, the back parking area is in need of repavement. On the inside, everything was outdated. The lighting is very dimmed and “yellow”, the residents window coverings were either falling apart or out of place, the walls are in need of painting, the ceiling tiles …. just get rid of all of that! The plus side is that some (some, not everyone) of the staff members were very kind, considerate, and pleasant and you could tell they cared about the residents; hence the 2-star rating instead of a 1. I really hope this review would help the owners, administrators, etc. come together and make some changes to this facility. Hopefully, next time I visit, some progress is being made or at least in the process of being made. Either way, we’re all watching now.
My grandmother is a resident here and at first I was skeptical about putting her in a nursing home but so far things have been good. The care is good, my grandmother is always up in her chair and in good spirits when we visit and we haven’t had no problems with communication or her health. Therapy seems to be going well so I’m satisfied.
