We toured many facilities but Dad chose this one . Studio and one bedroom we didn’t think the studios would be big enough, but since he’s never in it because there’s so much to do it is just fine!! You can Catch people gazing at Eclipse or Bingo… Loves the Restaurant style cafe With at least three choices of entrées every meal He’s been there five weeks and has friends already. With doctors on site the ability to choose whether or not nurses bring his medication or not…well is peace of mind! It was really hard for my dad to put his medication in the little pill bottles so it’s really important for this task to be done for him! He is so relieved he chose to have them bring to him . It is so nice as the walk-in shower there too He feels safe And the experience with on boarding was wonderful. The staff really helped our family get through the paperwork process . It was not easy Only one sibling lives near Dad so it is imperative That communication keeps up! Doctors on staff and attentive nurses . Reception too! Thanks you to the Oak Hill team and Illinois sis . So far so wonderful! Wish I could attend the BBQ Next month !

My 100 year old mother moved to Oak Hill four months ago and I am very happy with the care she has received. The staff is attentive and kind and they truly seem to care about the well being of their residents. They went out of their way to help my mom feel welcome, valued and cared for as she transitioned from living independently to assisted living. She doesn’t always like the food, but there is always an alternative if she asks! I have no reservations in recommending this facility if you are considering assisted living for your loved one.
My family really appreciates the care at Oak Hill. Both of my elderly parents have been there. My mom passed away last year. Dad is still there and content. Everyone is caring and friendly and the facilities are kept clean and fresh. The staff treats the residents with respect. I highly recommend Oak Hill to anyone looking for a safe, caring place for their loved ones! L
My mother recently moved into Oak Hill from a rehab facility. She had been going downhill after having surgery. Since being at Oak Hill she has been thriving and looking better than she has in a long while. I believe it has a lot to do with the excellent care she has been receiving there. The staff are friendly and kind, and the place is kept very clean. While my mother has been settling in the staff have gone above and beyond to help us out. Especially Jessie McCormick and Debbie Butts who have always answered questions and given great guidance on how to get my mother settled in and comfortable with her new situation.
After a day of visiting other faculties we decided on Oak Hill Assisted Living due to the cleanliness of the building and knowledge of the employees. We visited at lunch time the food smelled so delicious. We were told they hired a chef about a year ago. Excited to hear that we too can eat with our Mom for 5.00, looking forward to doing that soon. The rooms are spacious and very modern up to date. The entire faculty is so clean and bright. Jessie and Barnes were so kind to us as we tried to learn this next chapter in our lives to place our Mom. They have a salon, beautiful courtyard, raised flower beds for residents to work in. Soon a huge landscaping job will be done but the grounds are beautiful now. We also appreciate that the faculty is so close to our homes. Everyone that we have met so far have been so caring and helpful.
