The rehab in the facility was wonderful and great to work with. Treated my Mom very well. The nursing staff could use more supervision and better care for patients. Never gave my mom medication on time, did not give her a bath on the scheduled days, not very prompt when they tell you they going do something. Could be hours or even days later. Due to their cafeteria being remodeled, food was not very good. When I would call to ask questions to nursing staff to find out information on my Mom, did not get any calls back. Happy with the therapy but not nurses.

My husband was in this facility for approximately 3 1/2 months. I can't say enough about the nurses and CNA's that took care of him. They made him feel loved, and took very good care of him. They always kept me posted on anything of concern, and were willing to listen to me and support me during the hardest time of my life. I will never forget the kind folks who showed us both so much compassion and care... the folks that were actually hands on in his life! We also enjoyed the private room, as it made it feel like HIS room.... I would definitely recommend the nurses and CNA's!!!
Considering putting a relative into Oak Grove. Transferring a resident to another facility without family notification is not acceptable under any circumstances. Our relative is female, is Medicaid Skilled nursing qualified Dementia, wheelchair bound.
I have been to many care facilities, and Oak Grove is the cleanest that I have been in. The facilities that I have been in always smell like urine and Oak Grove does not. Walking into the lobby is a pleasant experience, as the receptionist always greets guests. The residents are a lively and happy group!
Poorly run, extremely understaffed. Food inedible - for example - was served a pork chop, ice cold, with only a plastic spoon for a utensil. Asked for pain med at 10:45 AM, received it almost 3 hours later. Staff picked up expensive shirt with laundry, but it was never recovered. Food service took notes on likes and dislikes then promptly ignored it. Physical therapy equipment is limited and not in the best condition. It's obvious that Oak Grove is a profit center where money tends to be more important than the residents.
