Marcia the activities director was wonderful. She engaged us in conversation and was very helpful when we had questions. It looked like everyone was getting good care. Only concern is it could be a little cleaner.

Terrible food. Over cooked veggies, macaroni over cooked. No fresh fruit -all out of a can. No fresh veggies, always out of something. Breakfast best meal of the day. Bathroom never cleaned, toilet ran all the time and would not flush. Maintenance never came. Nursing/ CNA Staff all really great, friendly, over worked, not enough of them.
Was staffed by SoftSages healthcare They did not pay for travel nor lodging ( which wasn't the issue) it's when I stated I couldn't afford to stay without a stable lodging environment I would have to go home . I worked 3 days and wasn't paid . The agency stated I forfeit my pay as a 1099 employee so the 3 days i worked was for nothing. The facility was understaffed. They don't use wipes AT ALL only towels. A lot of the full-time employees had bad attitudes and were constantly complaining about work load . It made me uncomfortable. I am from Texas I was really far from home and the entire experience was horrible start to finish
Once you're traveling for work, be careful working.here, especially if you're black. They work load on the Wyeth unit is like the highest form of slavery , plus the staff DO NOT help you. They give you 28 patients to take care of and no help. The residents' sheets are half white and dinged. They have no chucks for the residents to sleep on, so if they wet the bed, it's everything wet. They have no wipes to use on the patients when they poop and want you to not use the towels to do so. They want you to use toilet paper to clean patients with even if they poop loose and mess the entire bed. Imagine having to clean a bed ridden patient with just toilet paper when they poop the entire bed. The state of Maine needs to come in unexpectedly and check, this, place out. Even the full time staff are complaining, but dont want to say anything in fear of losing their job. Even if this place was the last resort, I wouldn't send a family member here. The residents can not have 100% care because they hardly have staff to do it. Most Nights One tech takes care of 52 patients. They put me on a untit twice with 28 patients alone and upset because all the lights on and patients are not being attended to in a timely manner. These residents can only be washed up once on most shifts because of lack of staff and workload too much. A patient is supposed to be washed up at least twice a shift, but it's impossible for one person with 28 patients to do that. Most of the residents' skin are dry and flaking because they're NOT cared for properly. 4 persons on that unit gets a shower a day.....two in the morning and two in the afternoon, so if you divided 4 into 28 then you'll get 7, which means one person gets a shower once a week!... This is so unfair to the residents! The head staff and people who are in management should do the right thing and advocate for the residents for a properly staffed facility so the patients can have BETTER CARE! Instead of trying to fabricate stories just to look and to get a good name. Please pay me my money or I'll have to take legal action to get it. Whoever have their loved ones there should start looking into some of the care they're receiving!
From the moment we first walked in, until my brother-in-law's passing early this morning, we could not have asked for a better place for him to be. He received the best of care, love, and compassion from each and every one of his caregivers and the entire staff. We were so grateful for his Hospice care as well. To whomever put the Marine coaster on his chest, you touched us so deeply when we walked in after he passed. That simple gesture meant so much! You treated him with such dignity and respected his wishes until the very end. You comforted all of us during this difficult time. Words cannot convey our appreciation amply.
