Don't send your loved one here if they can't speak for themselves. We chose Norwich Springs after a great review, now we are left to wonder if we had sent our mom somewhere else if she would still be with us. My mom was diagnosed with hospital delirium and sent to rehab to work on the strength in her legs. One of the three questions asked to the Nurse that came in upon arrival was how often she is checked on and if they had seen delirium before. I felt comforted knowing she would be checked on every 2 hours and that they knew how to deal with her. I was off work her first day there and was there for 14 hours. The only time my mother was checked on was when they brought her food or if I pushed the nurse button. I'm not sure if that was because someone was in the room with her or not but I can say of the week she was there, my sister and I were there several hours and it was rare someone came to check on her. There was only one night when I spent the night that her nurse was in there like we were told. Friday when I arrived my mom was wearing her socks. Later when she asked me to take them off she has a bandage on her toe. I asked what happened to her toe? I was told the wound care team took care of it and the nurse would be asked. I never got an answer. Saturday morning I arrived at 9:30 to find my mother laying on the floor. After they picked her up and put her in the wheelchair one of the nurses complained of back pain and said my mother needed "medicated". They took her to the bathroom to clean her up and I heard "Who found her?" What difference does that make??? Now I was wondering if she had fallen out of bed Friday and nobody had told us. I can say my mother was left in a depend for several hours at a time. On Saturday, the bed was wet from not being changed. Wednesday night we had to call the squad because her blood pressure was so low. Looking back she has been saying she was cold all day (her friend sat with her while we were working). Why were vitals not checked before? If she was checked on every two hours like we were told, why was the blood pressure drop not noticed before? She may still be here if she was taken care of like we were told. Her urine was so dark in the ER that I questioned how nobody that had changed her could notice the color being so wrong. She passed just 2 days later. I was called about holding a bed for her. I called back to let them know we were given notice of hours and whoever answered the phone was annoyed that I asked to be transferred to who originally called me. I was told my mothers items would be packed up for us. We didn't receive anything she had in the drawers. This place is probably fine if you have someone that can tell you what's going on, if not I'd never send a loved one here again.

I am very pleased with my experience at Norwich Springs Health Campus in Hilliard, OH. Everyone has been very kind, respectful, and helpful to me. This facility is clean and seems to be well organized. Occupational therapy, physical therapy, nurses, nurses aides, Doctor, administration, kitchen staff and all have been wonderful! Also, the food is really good. I’ve been to other facilities in the past and this one far exceeds my expectations and has helped me a lot with occupational and physical therapy. Thank you all for your support. Sandra Sue Eversole
My mom is getting such great care. The assistants are very professional and are just lovely people. It takes a lot to be there for people with memory problems but they go above and beyond. They have my gratitude and love for all they do
My father has lived in Norwich Springs Independent Living apartments since the location opened. I can say without hesitation we would recommend it to anyone looking when a family member is ready to let go of the upkeep and expenses related to owning a home. The management is very friendly and welcomed my dad and his dog to participate in community activities and outings as well as in house. My father enjoys volunteering as 'Pet Ambassador' visiting other residents in assisted living, memory care and rehab twice a week with his dog. The staff maintain a calendar of events so family and residents can participate in group community events and in house exercise/walking groups. We appreciate the willingness to listen and make changes when any suggestions are made.
Beautiful facility with extremely nice staffing! The events and themes that the staff create for the residents are fun and entertaining. I’m super grateful for the staff taking care of my family member.
