Sister and brother-in-law moved from Wisconsin a little over a year ago, looked at several retirement communities, and chose Northridge. The place is beautiful. The food is excellent - I've shared a couple of meals there myself. People are happy, friendly, and rather fun to be around. Definately a five star place.

What a great place. I visit my in-laws here fairly regularly and it's always very nice. I love the ice cream maker available at all hours! 😉 They treat the residents with respect and give them assistance where needed. I'd consider living here someday for sure. They're always talking about the fun they have here. My Father in law loves the garden they have in the back and the game nights. Keep up the good work. We rest easy knowing our family members are safe!
Although I can address multiple problems with this place and their management and maintenance, my true issue is to me more disgusting. My mom passed away on May 12 (Mothers Day)in her apartment and while in my grieving and minutes after me finding my mom deceased the managers Scott and Jen informed me that my mom's death was considered her 30 day notice. That was the least of my cares, but I understood (I've rented and have rented). However, not once in those 30 days or even the day she died did management tell me that because my mom passed away in the middle of May they would keep 80% of the deposit to pay for June 1st to 12th. As Jen informed me, they don't keep deposits for cleaning ONLY to pay rent. After returning my moms keys today and her remaining belongings mattress and bed and a microwave (I paid to have removed and discarded) were removed on June 6th (cleaning my mom's apartment was the hardest thing Ive ever had to do being an only child) I found out that Northridge will charge my mom rent for 12 days in June that made up the remaining 30 days notice. My main question was how can Northridge take 12 days of rent from a dead person? Apparently as Jen explained, my deceased mom still had possession of the apartment until I gave the keys back and the apartment was cleared. I explained the apartment was cleared completely on June 6th which they knew because the company I hired, Northridge management had to let them into the apartment. Jen did say that she didnt charge me longer even though I just today returned the keys because she knew this was a hard time for me. Im not sure if I should feel grateful or pissed by that remark like she was doing me a favor. Although I understand that Northridge management can use my mom's deposit for rent in June since she unfortunately passed away in the middle of the month, I will never understand the greed and lack of compassion corporate and management has for their tenants and their tenants families in this type of circumstance. My mom died, she didn't decide to move and give her 30 day notice and management still charged a dead person rent for12 days because June wasn't paid. It's all about money and tenants will see that when they raise rent 3-4% every 6 months.
Northridge has been my home 🏡 for my Podiatry practice for 6 years. The staff have been amazing. Denise is the absolute BEST at her job! She provides activities and outings like no other! Exceptionally clean and well decorated....just an all over warm cozy atmosphere. I would recommend Northridge Gracious Retirement to anyone looking for Senior Living.
This place is phenomenal! I would recommend this community to my own family members. The interior is clean and well maintained. There is a nice courtyard in the back. Most importantly, there are plenty of things to do to keep busy and have fun. The activities director, Denise, is a rockstar! She always has something fun and entertaining up her sleeve. She loves the residents and they love her right back! Northridge is the place to be!
