This nursing facility is awesome. The best I've ever been to. My husband checked in a week ago, and he is a Veteran. Troy was great and took care of the paperwork expeditiously. As soon as you walk in the building, it's like a hotel checking in at the front desk. Staff are very friendly. Very clean, well organized, very cozy. You dont even smell anything foul like other nursing homes. All you smell is pleasant, clean air. Every section have their own kitchen/dining area. It's like dining in a restaurant. You also get to pick your food choices if you don't like the menu on the day you check in. Kuddos to the cooks who prepare the food, my husband is very happy and loves his every meal. They have a sports bar, a coffee shop, entertainment room, business room/game room. the RN/CNA in the section are very friendly and professional and make you feel at home. You call, and they come right away to attend to you. Pets are welcome to visit their dog parent, but you must show proof of vaccination. Family and friends are also welcome to visit, and there are no restrictions on visiting hours. As a wife of a Veteran I will pick this place if ever I am placed in a nursing home.
My brother was admitted into the Veterans home about one (1) month ago. To say it was a difficult experience would be incorrect. I found the staff and management to be helpful and caring. From the moment I first arrived we were greeted by the very sweet and helpful receptionist. The intake personnel (from the intake director to the medical staff) greeted my brother with respect and a caring support to make him feel welcome. On the first day the director of food services came to my brothers room to ask what foods he liked and informed me of all of the options available to him. I can't say enough about the entertainment director, the doctor on staff or the physical and speech therapist department. The people that clean up after my brother make his bed and wash his close are great. Lastly the nursing staff is spot on they are always on hand and ready to assist with any request regarding my brothers care. If you have any reservations about placing your loved one here don't be worried he/she will get the best of care from a well trained caring staff.
Very clean. Caring multiple staff members. Great food.
My dad has been on the waiting list for this facility for 3+ years. He has dementia. After many unanswered attempts to find out where he was on the list, I was told the only way he could get in was if he was hospitalized. I am not even sure there even is a waiting list. I had to place him in another facility.
