The level of care shown to my family was genuine and greatly appreciated. From being welcomed by reception when you first walk in to all of the staff greeting you with a smile as you walk by was truly amazing. The Director of Social Services - Katelyn, and her team will make sure your family members are heard and provide updates that are integral to a safe and smooth transition back into the community. Truly blessed to have them in my family member’s corner.
Just a phone conversation that I experienced was totally awful. No one at the nurses station answered when transferred to the person in charge (Lois,I believe) explained there’s only one person on the floor. When asked whom the person in charge of the facility’s name they didn’t know and she was covering for the day. Very rude and heartless. They’re supposed to be understanding and helpful and this facility was not.
I have my mother in this nursing home when she got out of Westchester medical center for a fractured lower part of the knee.... First these people had put my mother in the long term unit where she was not supposed to be they gave me excuse after another excuse as to why she was placed there mind y'all the nursing homes get full report for when a patient is coming, the doctors at this facility where trying to give my mom medication she doesn't need also they lied not knowing I have a medical background stating that my mom had broken her leg when she had just fractured the lower region of her knees, also at this facility majority of these nurses don't do their jobs they spend their work day on their phones, treating patients disgustingly with little to no care they give patients cold showers, patients don't get changed or checked on accordingly. The social worker Nina is not trying to go through with a transfer. I literally had to call the hospital and get my mom on a follow up for her hospital appointment..... This place is a horrible horrible place to send anyone you love this nursing home is more interested in violating patients and family members this place is more interested in my life than helping the people that come their for treatment overall this place needs to be investigated by the health and social services department... I have nothing against this place but when you see how these individuals treat and lie to others you'd understand why this review is written and people need to take a full tour before admitting anyone in here these nurses laugh "at" their patients and make fun of them. Go and see for yourself how bad this place really is... Just a handful of people who go there to work it's sad
We recently picked up our loved one from Northern manor after rehab for a hip repair. From the top-down, everybody on staff was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating, caring, Patient and kind and gentle to our loved one. Anima, and all the other nurses on the nursing staff were wonderful, as were all the AIDS, especially Carole. Not a moan a groan or a complaint from any one of them, ever! They all performed their duties in a highly professional manner and with a smile! All the therapists, especially Ergu, did a great job, with excellent results! Maria, in the recreation room, did a great job with organizing and arranging the entertainment for the patients and Lisa, at reception was always welcoming, warm and friendly. Kaitlyn, the social worker, and the entire administration, we're on top of everything, checking in on our loved one periodically to ensure she had all that she needed and if she wanted or needed something more, they gladly accommodated her. Overall, our experience at Northern Manor was excellent and we have no reservations about recommending or referring anyone to this facility. Thank you, Northern Manor, for a job well done!
