My sister, who passed away last February to our great sadness, lived here for 11 years. She (and so were we) was very happy with this fantastic place to live. The care was great: in addition to the physical care, there was always a listening ear and, despite the shortage of staff, they took time to have a chat and offer assistance when my sister was having a difficult time mentally. The activities were also often a motivation to persevere. We thank Nieuw Unicum and in particular the employees of the Meeuwenhof for the wonderful work they have done and continue to do! A big round of applause from the family!

A very bad employer. Worked as a flex worker for 3 years. I really don't advise anyone to live here. Location Haarlem was a top team. Unfortunately left due to bad management and unskilled colleagues. Clients are really in danger here. Please do not recommend to friends, family or acquaintances. I say close the place down and put it under the magnifying glass at the inspection!
My wife is a resident there and she is very happy there, good care and nurses.
Don't start working here as a ZZP'er! The workload and weight is GIANT, the permanent staff is running on empty and Nieuw Unicum only thinks about making money money money. Let alone what it's like for the clients!
COMMUNICATION VERY SAD UPDATE.......... My therapist just reached out and did NOT call back After the decision, I tried to contact you again, but the employee disconnected the connection, so why make contact again now if this was not negotiable 🤔 In the first conversation with my therapist before the application, it became clear that people with FNS were welcome Had a good telephone conversation with someone from intake No answer after sending application form, therapist contacted again, no call back..... Called again, doctor was on holiday, would call back after the holiday, again this did not happen, neither did my doctor for additional information While waiting for a call back, the doctor decided without more information that I am not (anymore?) welcome because it is only for physical complaints and MS 🤔 fns is Functional Neurological Disorder......you should learn this in two sentences via the mail. After my therapist asked for information about this An employee of the intake ended the telephone contact Conclusion It may be that you do not fall within their target group, respect this, but indicate this during the first conversation, obtain information if something is not clear as agreed. be clear and keep your agreements, also for my therapist this was a lot of wasted energy that she put into this. Let alone what it feels like for the client who is already having a hard time and who chooses primary care for a reason.
