Ordered my first $2 hot meal with the group. It was a frozen meal with a pizza burger, cauliflower, mixed veggies, milk and delicious fresh muffin. Very tasty burger. The frozen veggies warmed up nicely in the microwave and were satisfactory. Everything was dated properly. Nothing was expired. The support personnel were pleasant and helpful. I have been volunteering at NHSC for several years, and it still amazes me how many activities are offered. From One-on-One Computer Tutorials (that's me) to Folk Dance Aerobics Class to Game Day (for card players) to Music Appreciation lectures to blood pressure screenings - the list of activities and services is quite extensive. And it's a great place to make new friends.
Meetings, rehearsals, lunches, lectures, lessons, and speakers frequent the second floor of the Narberth Borough Hall where spirited New Horizons Seniors meet. Dues are minimal and the company is great!
This is a center where everything is done in one huge common area—exercise, card playing, socialization and lunch; most often simultaneously. That’s the only downside. The people who regularly visit this center are friendly and nice. There are good exercise programs and the resulting socializations are nice.
Can we get an update on this site? Even the photo of the building entrance is dated!
