I wanted to join because I like being near the river and the park there and to have a place to socialize. No vehicle to get there, 3 busses to get there, shuttle bus in my neighborhood, told my area will soon be eliminated for shuttle bus. The place I was referred to, went over reviews, not a good area. So I won't join that location. Where I came from in Pennsylvania, all the senior centers easy to get to. Not here. So this senior has no senior center to be at. This morning 7 12 24 seen the shuttle bus again. Yet I was denied .rmbership because my area no longer exists serviced. Yet 70 days later shuttle lied about the reason.Today, 8 23-24 seen the senior shuttle go by my street. 4 months I could've been attending. I lost respect for that senior center. No compassion for the elderly. Again this morning the shuttlebus in my neighborhood. That lying director has no reason to refuse mee. Whatever her problem is, should be replsced. 10-4-24, again the senior center shuttle passes me. 6 months I could've been going. That director that refused my membership should be reported, fired!! November 13, again the shuttle bus goes by my street. 7 months now I could've been going. WHY? 2-10-25, still the shuttle bus in my neighborhood 10 months after the LIE told me my area being eliminated from my area. 10 months I could've been going. And upon asking why, never reply. Again on 3-3-25 senior center shuttle bus passes me in my neighborhood. Called the center again, still no bonafide reason given for turning me away. The Director never met me. Why? 9 months I could have been going.

My 45th Casino Theme Surprise Birthday Party was held here and it was such an awesome place, plenty of room - clean and overall just a pleasure to be there.
While the event space seemed nice enough. The staff that I encountered was probably the MOST DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE that I have ever encountered in a professional setting. I had exited my car to properly introduce myself to the staffer that I believe I had spoken to on the phone the previous day (an assumption because she was the only person unlocking doors to the building), I extended my hand (to shake hers), and I said “hello, Mrs. Ritter? I believe we spoke yesterday...”. She ignored my greeting and waived her hand at me while saying “Yea, but I don’t have time for this, somebody did something that upset me, that I have to handle”. My reply was simply “I just wanted to introduce myself...”. Her immediate response was “That’s fine, but I have to take care of this...”. By this time she was talking over her shoulder with her back to me, while headed in the opposite direction. Clearly she did not know my relation to her guest besides being support staff, or care. As expected, she never apologized, introduced herself, or made eye contact even while attempting to ask very quick questions (acknowledging the tension, but not addressing her actions or the offensive behavior). Fortunately, I was there to support an event, but I would never recommend an event space who allowed staff to treat anyone so rudely. In the hospitality industry it is extremely important to notice how the event space staff treats their guests, their own staff, and the support staff (venders) of their guests. As clients saw pictures of the event and inquired about the space, I immediately redirected them to other spaces with excellent hospitality. If you care how your entire party (friends, family, and support staff) is treated when booking an event space, DO NOT BOOK AT THE NEW CASTLE SENIOR CENTER.
I went to the New Castle Senior Center to get my taxes done the people were very nice there they have AARP people on volunteering to do your taxes and it doesn't cost you a dime the place has had walk through a notice was very nice the people were nice too when I walked up to the window and ask about joining the lady had a smile on her face and answered all my questions she also told me gave me paperwork and she gave me April's calendar I really am thinking about joining
Great place. My sister worked there 27 years and I was there for her retirement party. The cook was Anna and she did an amazing job with lunch.
