My grandma has been at Nazareth Living Center for rehabilitation after a fall, and what she’s been through there has been nothing short of heartbreaking. She’s missed important doctor appointments because staff either forgot or didn’t have her ready in time. She’s gone without proper food and water. At one point, she was hallucinating from lack of oxygen because they didn’t refill her oxygen machine. She’s been left sitting in a wheelchair for hours, neglected. After our entire family had to fight for a chest X-ray, she was diagnosed with bronchitis and pneumonia—but didn’t receive antibiotics for a week because of disorganization and poor communication. Her injuries have been worsened by staff physically mishandling her, even ripping the skin from her arm during a transfer. And despite all of this, it still took multiple complaints to get her bandages changed. She went in for rehab. She didn’t need oxygen, and she was healthy and independent—literally caring for her home and garden the day she fell. After three months in this facility, her condition has drastically declined. This is not care. It’s neglect. Please, do not send your loved ones here. It’s a nightmare, not a place for healing. Many of you know my grandma and know how kind she is—please share this so others can be warned before it’s too late. Nazareth Living Center

My mom has been at Nazareth for about 4 weeks and we are so glad she is there. We chose this facility based on the fact that it is owned by the Sisters of Saint Joseph's. The fact that they have Catholic Mass almost everything was very important to my mom. Once mom got there, we were so impressed that we could get ahold of the nurse taking care of my mom 24 hours a day and also if we needed we could get a hold of the Director of Nursing also. We are so glad mom is there and safe.
My mother who is 85 years old recently fell and broke her hip. She is in this establishment for rehabilitation. I don’t even know where to start, Well she has missed very important Dr. Appointments due to either lack of communication or them not having her dressed and ready or them forgetting to put her down for transportation.. She started having hallucinations due to lack of oxygen because they forgot to put water in the machine, They forget to feed her.. She sits in a wheelchair most of the day which nobody checking on her.. Dr. Russel won is her Dr there and it’s like pulling teeth to get him to do his job..it took my whole family complaining to get her a chest xray and she ended up with bronchitis and pneumonia but no antibiotics were prescribed until 1 week after because we insisted and she still hasn’t gotten it because they were out and it was never called in to another pharmacy. They dropped her while getting her into bed and her skin was ripped from her arm so bad that the flesh was exposed and it took us complaining to get her bandages changed.. They don’t keep up with her medicines and her whole body is swollen like a balloon.. It has taken weeks to get her on a stronger water pill, which has now effected her kidneys.. This woman was taking leaves in her big yard taking care of a home by herself the same day of her fall.. She didn’t require oxygen, Her health was good up until she went in to Nazareth.. She has been there for 3 months and has had no improvement actually the exact opposite.. Please don’t send your loved ones here it’s a real life nightmare
St Joseph’s Memory Care at Nazareth Living is a special place. They have an exceptional team of care givers, nurses, administration, billing, housekeeping etc. Everyone we came in contact with was exceptional to work with. You won’t find more caring and loving people to take care of your loved one. From the moment we toured the facility and saw how the staff interacted with the residents, we knew it was the place we could trust and have confidence in. Our mother lived at St Joesph’s Memory Care for 2yrs and 8months. Our family is forever grateful for the compassion, care and love our mother received from everyone there.
Every one of the staff is very nice and pleasant. If you have any questions and they don’t know the answer, they will find somebody that does They also have a hair salon there to make the residence feel good. 😊 And the staff will get back to you very quickly for any questions you have. I would recommend it for your loved ones
