Very humbling experience. The serenity of the place make you feel what exactly went on here 😌

Very important place to learn history and remember the past
It seems strange giving a place with such a sombre message a 5 star review but the interpretation centre is well laid out and provides a good explanation of the camps context with regards to the holocaust. Of the camp itself there is not much physical evidence left but it is a peaceful site with audio visual explanations. Not much for only English speakers sadly.
This memorial and place performs very sad pages of WWII history. More than 100000 jews, including Sinti and Roma were transported from Westerbork to their last destination in death camps. A monument with 102000 bricks presents every victim.
Historically a very nice place!
