The team at Myrtle Beach Manor are great! Christina makes families feel at ease when choosing to live there. Their property backs up to the waterway which is so beautiful! Lorekeit is so knowledgeable and patient with the Memory care residents! Heidi is so experienced and provides wonderful activities for their residents!

Our father has been a resident for about 3 years. During this time the staff has always keep our father’s best interests in mind. They have gone above and beyond our expectations to include medical, social, nutrition and social interaction. The cleaning staff has always kept our father’s living quarters spotless. The activities on and off campus have been perfect for all residents. The open door policy with the leadership is exactly what our family needs and last but not least the LifeLoop website has been perfect. Thanks again for all you do for our father.
Myrtle Beach Manor is, itself, an excellent facility with a compassionate staff and exemplary Executive Director. The corporate headquarters, however, leaves much to be desired. PSL boasts that, to it, residents are “everything”. Corporate headquarters in Georgia must put its money where its mouth is. I tried to articulate my concerns by email and telephone. None of my emails was answered, and my telephone was blocked. I was informed that I am not allowed to speak with anyone in management in Georgia. Corporate Headquarters asserts in its online advertising that we have “Free Wi-Fi.” This is no longer the case. Indeed, in a recent juggernaut that casts discredit on the Company, Phoenix cut off our access to the Internet. We now must purchase Internet from Spectrum at our expense.
My mother was at Myrtle Beach Manor for two weeks following a hospital stay and we have nothing but great things to say. From the time she arrived until the time she left, the staff was helpful, accommodating, and so incredibly nice. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely focused on my mother’s needs and recovery and kept me well informed. The physical therapy department was amazing! My mom received almost two hours of therapy every day and she made so much progress! We are grateful to everyone at MBM!
This is my second round with Myrtle Beach Manor. Five years ago my mother had a stroke, Alzheimers, kidney failure and Parkinsons. My father (85 year old) had been caring for her but things got too difficult for him so we brought her to Myrtle Beach Manor Skilled Nursing. She spent her final 9 months there where her care was impeccable and compassionate. Not only did they care for my mom but helped my dad through the difficulties of watching your spouse pass. A year or so after her death, I found myself back at Myrtle Beach Manor with my Dad. He'd had 3 big strokes so he started out in Skilled Nursing quickly moved to Rehab and then on to Assisted Living. He's a tough old bird so I worried about the challenges that the staff had ahead of them. From the moment I met Dorothy, I knew that things would be OK. She was so understanding and I'm sure had been down this path with many others but for me and my family, she made us feel special. 3+ years later my Dad, thanks to the care he receives daily at MBM is happy, healthy but still that tough old bird! The staff is amazing along with their caring, friendly personalities and actually love their jobs. You can feel that when you enter the facility...everyone is always smiling. The facility is always spotless, including my Dad's room. He is always clean, dressed perfectly and taken care of all he needs. This brings me such great comfort. I run a caregiver group in my community and up to date, I think I've referred at least 5 people, all of whom have been extremely satisfied. It is an older facility but don't be fooled by that... If want to know that your loved one is cared for, MBM is the right place to be.
