My husband and I first started visiting Mulberry starting out at first only on the morning of the first day of every week for fellowship and serving during fellowship. This very quickly turned into visiting for up to a couple of hours after the one hour service or fellowship. That very rapidly turned into visiting on weekends. Now, for the last four or five months we have also been extremely blessed with the fellowship during Bible studies that started out at 2 PM on Saturday every week. After bingo sessions started up at 2 PM on Saturday every week Bible studies moved to 10 AM Saturday morning of every week. A lot of these residents have become like family to us. Better family to me than my own bloodkin who happen to be a little busy with life at the present. We have also gotten to know a large number of staff. Staff like my favorite nurses to name four right off the top would be nurse Riley, and nurse Monica, staff Marty, and Gary, the administrator, who is not uncommon to find stopping midstream through the business of their days to comfort a resident. If only every administrator were so involved, and cared so much about the people beneath him. To all of the people who would rather gossip about how horrible they think Mulberry Manor is, instead of finding a way to contribute or pitch in to lift the burdens of others there would be nothing left to complain about. My husband and I have seen around there from Gary the administrator to the nurses to Marty, Miranda, Savannah stopping whatever they’re doing to help with whatever they are asked to help with whether by a resident or a visitor. If we all stop complaining and start doing, there would be NOTHING to complain about! This is only coming from someone diagnosed with neuropathy in the head and ear obtained through collision six months ago among other damages to the body. Might not be that far off from my turn to go to a nursing home and I do choose Mulberry!!! That is where my family is

It can be a taxing decision trying to decide where an elderly family member will live...we visited around town and our minds were made up...Mulberry Manor's secretaries, and nursing staff are the nicest and well trained in taking care of the elderly. And I thank them everyday for doing their best to take care of my little Mother...Cindy Parham
