My 85 year old mother just had a recent stay at mtn city for rehabilitation purposes. I cant say enough about how wonderful she was treated. Theresa in admissions made the process very smooth from the time we walked in the door. Lori the social worker helped with anything we needed and answered all questions. The 1st floor staff (white building) we couldn't say enough about. From nurses to aides to cleaning personnel, transport, and maintenance. Everyone showed much compassion and respect. Physical Therapy helped my mom finally return home. They did a fantastic job and got her up and moving again. We appreciate everything you have done for our Mom (Alice). I wouldnt hesitate if anyone has an elder parent.

My brother was a resident at this facility. I would like to give a good review but I cannot. Care was hit or miss depending on who was assigned. Water was rarely provided for drinking. Call bells rarely answered in a timely manner. Cleanliness was rarely tended to. My brother called me for me to have them care for him. He needed medicine and needed to be cleaned. I would then call the desk to have someone check on him. Please consider your options.
Working with Mountain City Nursing and Rehab Center over the years has shown consistent growth and compassion regarding the care for our residents. Our staff is incredibly caring and knowledgeable in all departments especially administration, therapy and nursing staff. They exhibit professionalism daily with all tasks. I will retire from Mountain City in the upcoming years knowing I worked with such a wonderful team!!!!
The worst of many facilities I have been too! They are very unorganized, they don’t properly communicate with staff within the building. They don’t have proper drinking water for the residents, you have to get it out the sink! If you’re black and plan on working here, be prepared for the racism. Their scheduling is ridiculous , some people make their own schedule & some get a schedule. They don’t properly call you to cancel your shift, you have to come all the way to the facility to find out your canceled! They say everyone is supposed to help out and answer call bells, but they have their nurses sitting at the nurses station while 4 lights are ringing on each hall. If you’re agency, you can forget about getting help, you’re completely on your own no help from regular staff.
I have been working at Mountain City for almost a year now and I am so happy I made the change to come here from another nursing facility. The staff is great, always ready to help others to ensure the residents are receiving the care they deserve. Everyone works as a team to make positive changes here at Mountain City!
