My mom is in the memory care at Morning View. She gets excellent care. The staff is so kind and loving. They truly care about the residents. I’m very pleased with our decision to move Mom there. Lots of activities and great food.

MorningView Village Assisted Living was an absolute blessing for our family. My Mother could no longer live by herself due to dementia and other health problems. We were able to get her into MorningView. The love and care that she received was phenomenal. Because of her dementia and somewhat deteriorating health, we were in close contact with the administration and medical providers. We were always able to contact someone who was able to help with our questions or concerns. They were quick to contact us if Mother was experiencing issues that we needed to know about. MorningView provides the best alternative to living at home. We were able to bring her furniture and pictures and even had a good houseplant collection. Our experience was A+. I would highly recommend MorningView if your loved one can no longer live alone or just needs some assistance that family cannot provide.
I am staying here transitioning from hip surgery. Most of the staff is very nice and caring but a lot of times they don't answer the call button so you're waiting a very long time to go to the bathroom or get meds. Ever once in a while we get a hot meal but most of the time it's cold and doesn't have any flavor. If these two things could be fixed it would be a great place to stay while healing. Great therapy trainers and the activities person comes up with fun things to do which helps pass the time. All and all, nice place.
They are aweful. My dad was poorly taken care off. Their night shift people do not care. My dad was left in same position for hours and no one would come during night shift to help.. they need to fire their night shift and replace them. They have no sympathy or compassion.. no wonder elderly people in places like this get bed sores. My dad had a stroke and needs help in turning him. They do an aweful time at night.
The facility is associated with Blount Memorial as a transitional care facility. I cannot speak of the other wing. However for the transitional care part, I can speak to these issues. Staff is poorly trained. Very incompetent on medication times and logging what had been done. Some staff are very dismissive of loved ones concerns and border on argumentative. Food is poorly prepared. Technology is still in the 1990s not 2019, they communicate still with fax not email. Clearly the owners have little concern with patients and only care about profit.
