Before I get started, I need to say Audra, the sales director is phenomenal and has been instrumental in this process. I oversee the wellbeing of someone who does not have family support and we ended up in an emergency situation where he needed to move into assisted living. Audra pulled everything together in record time and had a room fully set up for him when we arrived. She even had the TV on the channel he liked so that when he walked in, things felt familiar. Audra is encouraging and super helpful. She also knows and understands the process from not only her side as a professional, but how difficult this can be for the person moving in and also for the family and people who have to make the decision to move in their loved ones. Audra has felt more like a friend through this process and I am deeply grateful for her compassion. Next I would like to recognize the amazing nurses and care team who greeted their new resident with warmth and care. They were strategic in the way they handled the situation to make it as easy as possible on the apprehensive resident. It is easy to sit back and let this team take the lead because they are clearly experts on what they are doing. I commend them for what they do for the elderly. As far as the actual facility, it is pristine, bright, the hallways are wide and inviting, they have water stations throughout so the residents can stay hydrated, and they offer so many amenities and activities. They work hard to involve their resident and do what they can to keep them happy. Thank you to the entire Morningside staff.

I cannot say enough about how personalized and caring the staff of Morningside in the West End is! The Director, Stephanie Quick has gone above and beyond from the first day with suggestions and help in every aspect of Mom’s care. You will always be greeted warmly by their receptionist and the nursing staff led by Anne is always there to answer questions and help whenever needed. The facility is clean and welcoming and kept up by their facilities team. Plus, there are always weekly activities brought in by Audra and special theme days for holidays not only for the residents but also their family members. They are part of the Five Star Senior Living Company because they are just that, FIVE STARS🌟
I arrived at Morningside after hospitals and rehab centers after developing Guillain Barre Syndrome. Morningside accomplished what they should have done. I arrived on a stretcher and left walking with the just the aid of a walker! Everyone was helpful in my recovery from the Administrative Staff on down. Annabelle of the nursing staff and Semeige of the aids were especially helpful in my day to day recovery. Special kudos to the Activities Department. I would not have been able to leave as early as I did without Carol, Linda and Brittany. They got me out of my room and involved with activities and other residents. They gave me purpose and things to look forward to. They made me feel important and like “a real person” again. They are the best. The Physical Therapy Team that worked with me were determined, helpful and all had wonderful attitudes - thank you much to Ari, Amanda and John. I would recommend Morningside in the Westend to anyone who needs a place to help with a loved one. Please forgive any misspelled names!
My father became a resident at Morningside in the West End after being asked to leave his previous facility (Sunrise). To put it simply, he is a challenging person, but I felt that there was a lack of strong leadership, accountability, and ethics in the entire Sunrise organization as well. When my father was at Sunrise, I constantly received phone calls concerning my father’s behavior, conflicts with the staff, etc. (Please note – there were some truly wonderful members of the Sunrise staff, but there were also some bad apples and the entire experience was somewhat of a nightmare.) There was a lot of pressure put on me to remedy the conflicts between my father and the staff, which was extremely frustrating for me. Our experience at Morningside has been vastly different. During his year and a half there, I have yet to receive ONE phone call concerning my dad and his behavior. I know that he is still a challenge to work with, the difference comes from the leadership. Anne Goueth, his primary nurse at Morningside, and her staff have been a godsend. They work seamlessly to overcome this challenging situation. The staff looks after him extremely well and has been diligent with ensuring he always has the best care possible and takes care of his every need (literally). They are kind and friendly and my dad’s complaints have become much less frequent. I really cannot say enough good about Morningside and their staff.
My parents moved to Morningside over a month ago. So far my parents love this place. The staff there are always helpful and are engaged with the residents. Earletta, Audra, Carol just to name a few are great. I'm glad I chose Morningside in the West End for my parents.
