My father was there a month. Never gave him a bath or changed his sheets. He was on 1st floor and they knew he was a light sleeper. Lori the marketer who showed us the room never told us a med tech cart would be staying right outside of his room where residents come and get their meds. Also, shift change was at that med tech cart 11pm at night. After a week I asked them to move it. Moved it for a week then put it back. Also, the laundry was there too and doing laundry late at night. They were warned. One morning they accused him and never showed proof that he went into laundry room and cut dryer cord. How does an 85 year old old cut a thick dryer cord. The next day at 1pm they called and told me he’s a threat to himself and others and had to leave. I said show me the proof. Never did. I gave his notice after finding a better place. They drug their feet for 2 weeks. I brought the head nurse the medical paperwork to fill out the day I gave notice. It took me walking it through several times after 2 weeks to get it through. Finally, the new facility contacted head nurse to request receiving it and it wasn’t filled outright. The head nurse was rude to new facility admin. She couldn’t believe how she talk to her. I took the papers back to head nurse to fix. I wrote on the paper where they lied my story with a comment. They called over to new place and said I was falsifying the document and slandered me. The day my father was moving in to new place the nurse faxed over 2 black pictures you can’t see. One was the end of a lamp cord. Not a dryer cord and you couldn’t make out a pic of a person. The new admin couldn’t believe what they were doing. STAY AWAY from this place!!! So many violations. Never cleaned his bathroom. A hospital pee pan that my dad did sample in never got picked up or cleaned. Bugs everywhere and room not cleaned or sheets cleaned. Food was horrible too. I will be filing a complaint with Office of Aging and legal action for slandering my name and trying to get new facility not to take my dad. If he was a threat to himself or others why didn’t they call an ambulance and notify me in the a.m? They neglected him all the way!!! DO NOT put your loved one at this facility!!!

I love entertaining the residents and staff at MHSC. I was the caregiver for my brother, f father and mother from 2009 up to 2019! Music is my passion. I am extremely compassionate when it comes to our elders and our babies! The building is super clean, smells good, food look delicious and the staff is AMAZING! Kudos to my contact person, Ms Mary Coleman! Thank you for the opportunities to sing for the residents and their visiting families!
I love this facility. It is clean and the staff is wonderful. You come in the residents are happy to tell how much they enjoy being there. The day my mom moved in many of the resident told her you are going to like it here because they are good to you. The chef is outstanding. The food really pleases my mom. Lori Spears is a God send she worked very hard to make my mom's transition from the rehab in North Carolina a efficient and smooth one. Even on her day off she checks on my mom to see if she is okay. I would highly recommend Morningside House of St. Charles. Shantel was very patient through the entire process of filling out the forms. Mary did a great job with the special activity for Mother's Day. The entertainment was uplifting and the dining room was so beautifully decorated too. Great place if you are looking for a home for your love one.
My friends’ aunt and mother is placed at Morningside House for assisted living. At the entrance the staff was friendly. The elevator, hallways, her room and bathroom appeared neat and clean. Staff who came to check on her in her room were pleasant also. Morningside House. I did not see Physical Therapy there and I think the residents could benefit from those services being offered.
My mom recently moved there after fracturing her back and having surgery. The staff have been wonderful and caring helping my mom and I through this transition and always making sure she is well taken care of. Mom loves the staff, the food, the activities, and all the friends she has made.
