When it was decided that my mom needed an assisted living facility my brother and I started looking for one and after visiting several of them our last stop was Morningside House in Collegeville. Unbeknownst to us we saved the best for last! Even though we liked a few of the facilities we visited up until then we had one more stop at Morningside House. We loved the place as soon as we walked in the door. We met with Audrey the director of sales and marketing. Audrey was great and gave us the tour. The place is beautiful inside and cleanliness showed everywhere. The dining room was open and spacious and the food was delicious as we ate there many times with her. Her room was spacious yet cozy too. After mom moved in we met most of the staff and we can’t say enough good about them all including Valerie, Jesse, Kevin and of course Mary one of her nurses. The activities they had for the residents was outstanding. Best of all our mom really loved it there and made many new friends.

We moved our loved one out after Morningside bought it. We liked the staff - most of them were very caring and responsible. Pam at the front desk was excellent! So, was Angela the nurse. Made it a pleasure for us to walk in the door. The food, however, was not so good so I'm not sure where the postive remarks are coming from. It was not a positive experience after Morningside bought it. The price increased dramatically and simply was not worth it for the room or level of care.
This place is not the best. Care givers lie on providing care to resident when they don’t. Management doesn’t take action towards employees that neglect resident care and needs. They like to sweep things under the rug when it comes to neglect. Resident have had a rash for months when dr told them it was scabies the refused to take care of it despite employees telling them their dr told them it was scarier nd the community needed to be treated it was finally addressed in November after almost every resident in memory care got it. Why wife worked here and she loved it but left due to this and other issues at this community. The new company thy took over is the worse!!
This is the cleanest facility that I've ever worked for in the 24 years that I've been working in assisted living homes. They have an amazing activities program, they take them on trips, they are very particular of the staff that they hire at this facility. The managers are very helpful, caring and supportive. Community/activities: My mom recently moved in and is really happy with the community here. The staff are very welcoming and take a genuine interest in the residents, and the residents seem happy (some even told us they left other communities to come here and are glad they did). There are a lot of activities to choose from, and the activities team is top-notch. The staff have also been very welcoming and friendly towards our extended family - and other families we've seen there - and the place already feels like "Mom's place" to us. Meals: Mom likes the food, and I've had maybe 7 or 8 (?) meals here so far, and the food was great every time. And the servers are polite and patient with their elderly diners. Logistics, etc: The move-in process was much easier than what we were facing elsewhere, and things moved very quickly, which is what we needed. Audrey really worked with us to make sure we knew exactly what we needed to do when (and helped us prioritize said tasks so things could move smoothly). Overall, we've found all staff to be approachable and easy to work with. So happy Mom is here.
