My mom came here after having shoulder surgery. I was nervous at first, but over the month she was here it became obvious this was a good place for her to be. I initially had to call and schedule her patient care meeting, but Matt the Social Worker has been amazing this entire time. When it came time for insurance to stop paying her was awesome in filing the appeal and making recommendations for a new place for her to live as her current location wouldn’t take her back. Even though we won the appeal, insurance did what insurance does best and we lost the second appeal. Matt not only called me back on a Saturday evening but answered all my questions. While the food wasn’t always the best, most of the meals were decent. The nurses and aides were also friendly and helpful.

THIS PLACE SUCKS, my Mother had been in this place for a total of three days and we had to get her moved back to Riverside Methodist Hospital the staff is very rude and unprofessional when it came to the needs of any patient as I came in this evening to see my mother their was a elderly lady in room110 trying to transfer herself to he bed and had fallen when looking for a nurse or a nurse aid their were none to be found so I went ahead and transferred the lady from the floor to her bed and still no one came, this only goes to show what kind of staff this place don’t have and it was the same care when it came to my mother we looked for about 45 minutes and still found no nurse on the floor or should I say any floor, she has a incision in her back from spinal surgery and it has not been taken care of at all it was totally dry and seeping infection when asked why it was not being cleaned and properly dressed no one could give a honest answer they lied and said they had been cleaning it at one point a nurse brought in hand Lotion to rub on the incision he was quickly ran off at this point I have had enough we contacted her surgeons and her family doctor to get her transport so she could make it back to Riverside Methodist Hospital. So if you have a family member that you care for I strongly urge you not to use this place.
My mom has always been picky about her room and how people clean it but recently, I haven’t heard not one complaint from her. She said that The new workers there have made her life in the nursing home more accessible and brighter. I want to give my thanks to all the new workers. You are doing a Great job!
My dad spent 6 weeks in this facility with a spinal cord injury. Many sanitary aids and physical therapists are good, although sometimes you have to wait for an hour for an aid to come to your room. The doctor and nurses have a lack of skills. It seemed to us they didn't have an adequate training. If a patient has a common respiratory or urinary tract infection they can't diagnose and treat it in timely manner. My dad was kept with fever for a week and wasn't treated by any medications; nurses were even too lazy to measure his temperature. He did it himself. Finally, an antibiotic was prescribed only for three days, which wasn't enough for complete treatment. Additionally, they gave him some meds that were not needed for his medical condition. They give all patients same meds without thinking about patients' needs! My dad is glad he left this facility.
