By far the worst healthcare facility I've ever worked in. The place is absolutely dirty, not cleaned properly by housekeeping. There is a giant roach infestation that is a known issue, especially in the shower rooms. Nurses and supervisors don't help but will scream at the CNA's all day about getting bells and will write people up if the bell isn't answered quickly enough. They expect CNA's to be running on their feet all day and will yell if you are caught not working the entire shift. CNA's are also used as dietary aides. They have to make and pass trays, which I have never seen done at any other facility I've ever worked. It takes so much time just to get the meal trays, it takes care time away from residents and bells end up going unanswered due to trying to make and pass trays and feed people all at the same time. It would be much easier and more fair to residents and CNA's to have kitchen staff make up the trays for the CNA's to pass. There's a few good CNA's that end up doing majority of the work. Sometimes finding a CNA to help you isn't possible because some just aren't willing to help. There's also some that disappear for extended periods of time, then supervisors yell and expect you to answer their bells even though you're doing all the work. The residents here are great, the place itself is just terrible.
The facility is warm and welcoming from the flowers 💐 and shrubbery and gorgeous view from atop the hill outside, to the updated and professional decor inside. There are none of the typical “old folks home” smells, everything is kept very clean. State of the art rehabilitation equipment available. Staff continuously go above and beyond, tirelessly, day in and day out. Nursing staff truly care about and love 💕 the residents, and are always looking for ways to improve care. Administration is highly visible and accessible on the floors. The facility as a whole is highly connected to the community and strives for many opportunities for outreach and to give back. I can’t say enough about this facility!
My mother was here for rehab and the place staff food was all great. They were very helpful and efficient. My mother just had another stroke and needed rehab again I had to work super hard to get my mom moved here again and the administrator went above and beyond to help me get her there.
