The staff was excellent - very welcoming. Rebecca took the time to listen to me, and ask questions about my mother's situation and needs, as well as show me the available units....she was very professional and she knew the names of the residents as they passed by! I would highly recommend MerryWood to anyone.
We moved my 84-year-old mom from an apartment to MerryWood on Park. We felt it was time for her to be in a community like MerryWood but not sure how receptive she would be. I scheduled a tour online (very easy and convenient) and she agreed to go. Rebecca answered every question my mom threw at her and gave us a tremendous tour of the community. She didn’t rush the tour at all and let my mom absorb all the wonderful amenities MerryWood has to offer. We verbally committed the following day and signed the papers the next. She moved into a lovely one-bedroom unit four days later. The personnel, including Bernadette, were extremely accommodating to make this happen so quickly. My mom is enjoying not cooking/grocery shopping and having three meals available to her daily. She always said she wouldn’t be interested in the activities, but she has gone to bible study, bingo and music shows in her first week. She has already visited the salon. Having her at Merrywood is very comforting and such a relief to us as we know she is safe and she is socializing with so many wonderful people her age. Thank you MerryWood!
Rebecca was very helpful, informative, patient and responsive. Merrywood on Park had many amenities and options available. Ultimately my mother’s needs have changed so we will be going elsewhere, but that is no reflection of the service we received.
MerryWood on Park Road has been such a blessing to our entire family! We helped our mother move just a month ago and everyone of us are happy with her new ‘home’! The residents are so kind and welcoming, offering daily support during a big change! The staff encourage her and go beyond the call of duty to help in all areas of daily life… rides to church, to appointments, the occasional apartment need, etc. The weekly special outings are a huge highlight and help. The daily activities and social events encourage wonderful camaraderie and a sense of belonging. The buildings and grounds are lovely and create a wonderful safe venue to go for walks and meet new friends. I personally appreciate the concept of a dining concierge who seats residents at mealtime to encourage an inclusive welcoming experience, especially for newcomers! We are so grateful for Rebecca and the entire team at MerryWood who have made independent living at MerryWood a lovely experience for all who live there!
