It's easy to leave a good review for such a great community! From the first call, we felt welcomed and were very impressed. With the experience of visiting a good number of other assisted living communities, we could see that Merrill Gardens really showed the most caring and knowledgeable staff. We were most impressed with the longevity of many staff members, which is a huge when making the decision of where best to have a loved one live. The atmosphere is one of caring and compassion. The team works as best they can to create solutions and harmony in the daily living for the residents who call this community home. The staff are hard working and give their hearts and souls to the job even if it means sacrificing their own agendas. The managers are supportive and endlessly forgiving and kind. There is a reason the team has been here as long as they have. Five stars for an immaculate community full of competent Eugene's best people.
I am grateful to be a part of the Merrill Gardens family. I am surrounded by not only an amazing team but an amazing community of elders. After doing extensive research regarding our options for memory care or transitional memory care in Eugene, the decision was easy: Merrill Gardens. They have lived up to our high expectations. The staff is incredibly experienced, skilled and kind. Everyone is committed to going the extra mile for the resident and his or her family, every step of the way. The food is amazing, the facility is spotless and so well maintained and the level of professionalism in dealing with any issues that arise as the resident makes their transition into this living situation has been truly incredible. I recommend Merrill Gardens to anyone who wants the best for their family member.
I'm here to say how grateful I am to be apart of such a fantastic group of people. I have worked in elder care for many years, with opportunity to visit and work in other communities. After experiencing other communities I chose to come back home to Sheldon Park. It is encouraging to work with others that have values, family morals, and ethics with expectation that we would care for others loved ones as they were our own and have amazing staff families can be secure knowing their parent, sibling, friend, are well care for. It is awesome that staff have started at entry level positions and worked up into management positions, many of them here in this same building. To be passion driven and authentic in our drive to be the best, that we can give our best to others families and friends. We do our best to support staff and show appreciation. Thinking outside the box in which we can be creative to show our staff, ALL of our staff how appreciated and seen they really are (not 'JUST' a pizza party kind of company).
