Terrible place - where to even start. They are so understaffed that some days patients don't even get moved out of bed. What staff IS there can't be trusted. Our relative claimed to have been physically assaulted, of course no proof and staff will deny. The language and unprofessionalism of staff was also inappropriate. Items frequently "lost" - all of our relative's possessions somehow just disappeared - blankets, clothes, pillows, everything. Cleanliness, health, and hygiene practices are terrible as well. Relative developed bed sores, acquired MRSA in them, had a UTI their entire stay (because STAFF, again, did not clean properly after toileting), developed pneumonia..the list goes on and on. Due to the continuous UTI, our relative developed some cognitive symptoms, common for her and all elderly who develop that infection, and the nursing home just threw her into the dementia unit and drugged her with sedatives and benzos. She also fell out of bed or chairs MULTIPLE times. This is not a safe place. Needless to say, I would never in a million years recommend anyone who actually cares about their aging loves ones send them to this god-awful hellhole. The owner will reply to this and say they don't recognize my name, that these accusations are unfounded, to please call and discuss my concerns, blah blah blah. This will not help you save face. This will not help anyone. No one is going to call you. I stand by this review and reiterate: poorly and under-staffed, dirty, unsafe, and untrustworthy.

Was in constant pain. Heating pads not allowed, short on freezer bags totally short staffed administration lied to me more than once to bwhich I called Medicare, night nurse threw my pain medd on floor which I reached from my wheel hair and she was always angry, food horrid
If I could give them zero stars I would. The patients are treated terribly, especially if they have dementia. They will take the patients for all the money they have even if the services are not needed. Staff are terrible people with few exceptions. Owners response to every bad review is generic and trying to save face. "Sorry, we don't recognize your name, please call us to discuss your concerns". Why would anyone call you to discuss our concerns when you deny deny deny?
Note that our experience was from 2020 but I think it’s noteworthy for future patience to pay attention and check if our bad experience is still relevant now before going in. They are ok if you are only there for physical therapy or a very short stay. It’s mostly clean. It definitely feels more like a hospital than a home, especially the living quarters. But they were understaffed, and some of their staff seem unprofessional and overworked, especially night nurses. Night nurses were the worst. They were rude towards residence. Sometimes, a request bell could take half an hour for an answer, that’s just too long a wait. This usually happens at night, when family members don’t visit. Our family member was given food that was clearly noted as allergic for them, but luckily our family member was sensible enough to avoid it. You won’t recognize my name and we were too stressed out in our situation back then to bother looking for people to blame at that time. We needed help, but the help given at Menorah was mediocre at best. The absolute best thing they had there was their geriatric doctor. He was quick witted and communicative. And he knows his stuff. Our family primary care dr dismissed our concern for Parkinson's and the dr there immediately recognized the various signs and explained it to us. If you are considering them, definitely check them at night time and really see how your elders are being treated at night. If possible, Nottingham is a much nicer place. But they also cost a lot more.
Our family cannot thank the staff at Menorah Park enough for looking after my husband in the last 10 weeks of his life. The nurses, the aides, cleaning staff, PT/OT, the reception and administration were nothing but attentive to us and kind to him. He arrived very sick and the love each and everyone who came into contact with him gave more life so we could enjoy being his family with him. A previous review had said they were short staffed and they are but that did not stop them being caring and attentive. It is a hard job and not well paid but we are so grateful that the people there are willing to do it. We will miss seeing everyone everyday.
