I am so grateful for the kind and loving care that my father received at the NJ Vets Memorial Home at Menlo Park, from the nursing staff (particular shout out to the staff of Independence Unit), to the social workers, recreation department folks, physical therapists, dietary and kitchen staff, chaplain and spiritual services, cleaning and maintenance staff, security guards, and administration. My family and I thank all of you for providing a caring, safe, and comfortable home for my father at the end of his life.

My Father is a resident here and I am very happy and grateful for the care he receives here. The Staff, Nurses and his Doctor are very kind, patient and caring.
So far, so good for my dad, who is a Korean war veteran and needs full-time care now , He seems to be better knowing there's other vets there.Then the last place he was in before veterans took over his care
My father had wonderful care ! He was often a difficult patient, the nurses were always professional and very nice to him . They had many activities residents can be as busy or as quiet as they would like to be. I recommend visiting often so the nurses know you .
I came from the VA nursing home for 7 months before coming here and this is like the Hilton compared to where I came from. Yes they are short staffed but so are many private places. The nurses have approximately 3 to 4 times the patient load than the VA nurses do. The place is immaculate and the food is great. The only thing that I don't appreciate is when they speak in different languages which is not allowed in this facility. I have to remind staff that my room mates oxygen tank needs to be refilled with water. Sure some staff aren't as attentive as they should be but this staff can be over whelmed by the patient load. Some just don't care and should be replaced. I heard horror stories from others who had come from other places. I love it here and recreation is outstanding & I love it here.
