My friend says the wifi is almost non existent which is horrible since alot of the clients have nothing much else to do other than TV, Cellphone or Computer. My cell phone can't even get wifi when I visit. This issue needs to be addressed to make quality of life better for the residents. Sandra and Christine need to return to run this place again

Aid was negligent in my Dying Moms morphine, she thought she didn’t need it when it was ordered every four hours as she was dying. There were only two excellent Nurses on Staff. The help is horrible, Mom’s call button was frequently left on the floor or clipped on the curtain after changing bedding. I saw this repeatedly, as I personally gave other patients their help buttons across the room. Gut wrenching to see my dying Mother there. Sadly our only choice at the time.
My 96 year old dad has been at Medford Care for 18 months now with dementia and other health issues. I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for the care and companionship he is receiving. We are fortunate enough to visit every other day and not only spend time with him, but also other residents we have come to know. He comments every day how much he likes the place, how much he likes the food, and the people. It’s difficult to have a family member in long term care, and it’s not the easiest of job to be in, but we have found that everyone there from administrators, front desk, PT, nurses, aides, housekeeping and activities leaders have been great. The building itself is a bit worn, but then my dad wouldn’t appreciate chandeliers and movie theaters anyway. It’s the care and people that matter!
My mother was at Medford Care Center for rehab recently and she had a great experience. The place was extremely clean and everyone was so kind to her. From the nurses, to the rehab team, to the administration; everyone went above and beyond for mom. We’ve had issues at other rehab facilities in the past not getting her up and bathed and it was a concern we had voiced going in. The staff got her up and dressed every single morning and they made sure to keep her washed and clean. She was able to come home with me in better shape than she was before and I can’t thank the staff at Medford Care Center enough for taking such good care of her.
We had to move my mom to Medford Care last August in the height of the pandemic. It was a very difficult decision, especially because we couldn't visit and she was experiencing moderate dementia. Sandy and Christine sincerely understood and I felt that I was leaving my mom with trusted family. She was unable to use her phone, but the nursing staff was always available to answer any questions I had and addressed my concerns. Every day I knew she was safe and well cared for, and that alone was comforting. Once the facility was opened for visitors, I was able to meet the amazing nurses and nurses aides who cared for the residents with kindness and compassion. Their patience and care was incredible, and from what I saw it was never easy. Everyone on the unit deserves recognition - Sabrina, Chris - but I especially want to recognize Jaleesa, the unit nurse whose empathy and expertise working with elderly, sometimes difficult, residents was nothing short of amazing. You aren't going to find fancy chandeliers here, or brand new carpeting or updated rooms. What you will find are a group of caring health professionals who you can feel confident will care for your mom, dad, husband or wife with professionalism, concern and compassion.
