It saddened me to have to write this my sister struggled with health issues and had many stays at Meadowbrook. I did grow fond of some of the nursing staff but at times had their hands tied. Over the past year I have seen the decline in the facility. She was placed in hospice and thought she should still have some extra care to be sure she was mentally and physically comfortable. The attitude was one of basically why try to do anything she is dying anyway. I then sent her to the hospital so she could get comfortable. The hospital assumed the end wasn't near and they sent her back to Meadow Brook. With in two hours she had passed. It was very confusing, since the death certificate indicated she suffered for hours? So why wasn't I called if they thought she was declining however the death certificate conflicted with what I was told by the nursing staff. I made multiple calls asking to correct the death certificate to indicated she has a chronic illness. I begged them to fix it letting them know that she couldn't be put to rest until this was resolved. Dr. Singh ignore this even the funeral director called to try to help still nothing. Unfortunately this fell on deaf ears. My sister sat at the funeral home for two and a half weeks. I finally had to let it go so she and I could rest.

Words cannot express how wonderful the staff at Meadowbrook serve their patients. Everyone from nurses, CNAs, therapists, social workers, recreational staff, janitors,, nutritionists and more are skilled and caring. The culture of the entire facility works to heal the whole of a person with creativity, joy and hard work. Throughout my sister’s extended rehabilitation stay at Meadowbrook she was exceptionally cared for in uniques ways. We are so thankful for each and every caregiver at Meadowbrook.
Meadowbrook , their place and staff has got to be the best in new england. This was my second stay here, first time for 5 weeks, this time 2. Special kudos to Jackie and the rest of the p.t. and o.t. staff. The food was very good and the staff as a whole went out of their way to help. When I got out of the hospital they told me to give them 3 choices for rehab. I said 1st choice, meadoebrook. 2nd choice meadowbrook. 3rd choice meadowbrook. 4th choice send me home.
After a surgery and hospital stay, I went to Meadow Brook for IV antibiotics and rehab. At first I had to stay completely off my foot so needed assistance with everything. The CNA staff and nursing staff on my floor were wonderful. They were pleasant and very respectful. When it was time for PT those staff members were also really helpful. I was at Meadow Brook of Granby for 38 days and felt that the care was great, some of the meals were better than others, but my overall stay was very good. Special thanks to Vicki and Amy and to PT/OT staff Kyle, Jackie and Lynn. All were super great and I thank everyone very much!
Excellent therapy. OT and PT teamed up with my care plan. Challenging yet compassionate and encouraging. This program had got to be the best around Everyone has been caring and kind. Entire staff Always ready to answer any questions and support my needs. Patients are treated with respect too The aides and nursing staff in my unit were outstanding. I am eager to go home but feel you all have given me the tools I need tocontinue to heal Thank you Diane T
