When I visited the Meadowbrook website I was immediately greeted with a banner about the stellar ratings they received for their Medicare evaluations. All 5 stars according to the website. However, if you check medicare.gov and search Meadowbrook of La Grange you'll see they have two stars. Rated as below average for staffing and health inspections and average quality measures. Don't be fooled, this is a poorly managed facility.

This place is amazing! Nursing and CNA care was amazing…I never had to worry about my mother because I knew she was being taken care of. This seriously is the first time I got to do that because I always feel I can’t leave her alone in a healthcare setting. Not here…everybody that treated my mom treated her as she was their own family member! Social workers were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful and the line of communication is always open. Cynthia at the front desk was so friendly…it’s so nice to walk in a place and the first thing you see is a smile and her positive attitude. Most importantly…the physical therapy is outstanding. Because of their care my mom made 1000% improvement. She came in non-weight bearing and learned how to transfer herself without putting weight on her bad leg…her balance improved and so did her strength. Never once did I walk into Meadowbrook Manor in Lagrange and see anything dirty or smell. All workers walk around with a smile on their face and my mom really liked the food. I am so blessed to have had my mom there…they really made a positive impact on a terrible situation. Words can’t explain how grateful I am to all who work there…thank you!!!!
I was a patient at Meadowbrook for 11 days for short term rehab for my back and left knee. I had never been to a rehab facility before. The entire staff at Meadowbrook were superb. The nurses and CNAs were fantastic. They were very friendly and were always checking in on me. The physical therapy workers were great. Eddie, Christian, and Antionette in occupational and physical therapy spent time with me and helped me recover and made me feel better. The therapy helped me a lot. The entire facility was very clean. There was no odor. My room was always cleaned. The food was good. I had the option of eating in my room or eating in the cafeteria. I was able to walk around the facility on my own. The facility has its own library which I visited frequently. I am a kidney dialysis patient and I was able to get my dialysis at the same facility. Most rehab centers do not have on-site dialysis. This helped me tremendously. The social worker Therese helped me a lot, especially with my discharge. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone.
Just seems like no one cares. Just sad. How can you go into this field and not care about the ones you’re supposed to be caring for? We decided to have my grandpa here on hospice. Pretty much all nursing homes have horrible ratings which really tells you something about this field… Family is with him every day, which is lucky we’re able to do that. Not everyone has that. Makes me so incredibly sad.
I was a patient here for 4 weeks recovering from left hip replacement surgery. I gave 5 stars because the staff and facility were great. I personally didn't care for the food. Most of the time I didn't get what I requested after being asked. I was on the 1st floor. My nurse Shremka (may have misspelled) was amazing. She was very caring and attentive. Shremka always made sure I had everything I needed. Medicine, toiletries, COFFEE (for those who remember me) I cried when I had to hug her goodbye. ❤️ Ryan was a great nurse too. Ryan put up with my "princess ways" , again made sure I was always taken care of. The facility should be happy and grateful to have them. The front receptionists were very inviting and sweetThe Physical and Occupational therapists were unbelievably amazing. I came in barely moving or able to put weight on my hip. Jennifer, Mike, Sarah, Hanan, and Sue I can't thank you enough for all you did for me. The front receptionists were very inviting and sweet. Oh and don't let me forget My Wound Nurse. Mary I was so lucky to have you. My incision healed beautifully. Mary is so knowledgeable and attentive. I can barely see my scare! She cared about her job. We had great conversations together she's a gem. The CNA'S were very caring. Angela, Denise, Nancy, and Dominique. Thank you everyone 🙂.
