My 92 yo mother has been at McDowell Village for 6 years and she just recently transitioned from Independent to Assisted Living. We have been extremely pleased with this community since the beginning. It is attractively decorated, cleanliness is maintained, and the staff could not be more helpful or kind. There are scads of activies available for residents should your loved one be inclined. Our transition from IL to AL went as well as it possibly could and the staff was readily available to assist with any hiccups. A special shout-out to Vercina, Kristin, Angel and Nurse Julie. My mother is quite contented at McDowell Village and she truly loves the staff.

McDowell Village is a hidden gem! We've been with them for 10 months now. The team does an incredible job - activities, food service, concierges, everything. There's a vibrant schedule of activities, including exercise classes and outings - that are not just on a schedule, but occur; signs around the community are updated daily keeping activities top of mind; transportation has been especially helpful, providing transportation to appts. The team is really what makes the difference here - everyone cares for the community and residents, and it is evident with every smile, and sets the tone for the community as a whole. If you are considering IL or AL, I highly recommend McDowell Village!
We placed my 93 year old mother here in June of 2024. She previously lived with us - but we traveled a lot and were worried she couldn't stay by herself anymore. After a lot of initial pushback, she now loves the place. Gigi, Angel, and the entire staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Made the transition for her easy. Her 1 bedroom apartment is nice, she goes down for 3 meals each day, and really enjoys the exercise classes and activities. Has been a good choice for us.

My father chose McDowell Village and was happy every day after that he did. The staff creates a friendly and respectful tone at every encounter be it routine or major.
