I worked independently as a Caregiver for a wonderful couple and their children. From the minute I drove through the gates, I felt safe and secure. Not only do you get the feel of protection, you also have breath taking views that promote serenity and peace as you see the deer and wild turkeys crossing the road. I could go on and on and I remind you that this is through the eyes of a worker, so I will keep it simple. The staff is excellent. The building and grounds are pristine. The restaurant has great food and service, along with a tasty salad bar. The apartments themselves (I saw the 2 bdrm and a visitor apartment) were very nice with all of the amenities and appliances one could want. The gym and pool area were always clean and I attended a class that was not only fun but those "older than I residents" kicked my butt during the workout. I counted down every minute in the last 15 for fear I would pass out, I was so out of shape. Very rude black woman at reception desk refused to let me speak to any on duty managers. Then she called security to remove me. Luckily a helpful admin coordinator assisted me. The outside of the facility is gorgeous. Hopefully, management will encourage better communication.
It is hard to describe this wonderful place- unless you have actually been there. The staff is just fantastic. The cooks are superior and the facilities people work wonders. I attend a few events a year up there like a "strawberry feed" in mid-summer, outdoor degrees during times of good weather, and visitations. This place is nothing short of a slice of paradise! I am speaking of BOTH facilities and staff.
My grand mother lives here and it is perfect. The care could not be better. The staff is amazing. We should all be so lucky as to have a place like this in our future!
